2023 Recruiting Thread

Just wanted to pop in and say LSU is about to get cooking again soon.. Desmond Ricks, #1 '24 CB has reclassified to '23 and just been FONG'D to LSU.. they also are about to land 5 star and my personal top player in TX, Javion Toviano (CB)...

Wish Tigerbait was on here again.. people were clowning this hire last December and he has them on the track to win the SEC west in year 1...

BTW Peyton Bowen somehow is back to talking to Texas.. and Hicks might be visiting Austin this weekend for the TCU game. Vasek (as always) will be there too.

yeah.. i doubt we could get either of them because we pissed off Peyton so early and Hicks doesn't like big cities.. But out of the 3,Hill is the one we badly needed.. a difference maker at LB.. We have been recruiting well on the interior of the DL.. we need edge rushers.. I'm not high on Vasek but seems like everyone else is..

We'll see, here's to hoping we don't shit in the bed Saturday night #HookEm

Shit man we all need edge rushers. We could use Akana but he's an inside guy. Just need dudes that can play. Kip Lewis and Kobie McKenzie are red shirting so I like out linebacker with Stuttsman. But we need guys up front badly.

yeah.. i don't think Hicks plays at DE once he hits college..he's an interior guy IMO

@Wishbone Do y'all want Tre Wisner back?? our guy is implicating that he looks to be processed out of the UT class. He lost his starting gig this season and is sharing snaps at 2 with the 3rd stringer

I don't know man. Our wr group has been in shambles as well. Really looks like you are going to lose Worthy. I hope that Mims doesn't go pro. Wease has been a non factor. Stoops has been solid but his ability is limited. They tried the freshman Anderson early but guess he wasn't ready.

Biggest recruiting night of the year for us tomorrow. A lot of 5 stars coming in. We need a good showing.
 
Our RB recruiting has really struggled lately. 4* Mark Fletcher just decommitted so now we are fishing for 3*s to fill this class there. Concerning considering how not good the RB depth already is. Need to hit big next year, seems like we struck out with about every big guy this year.

I don't think we are losing worthy.. I hate OB.. they started talking about it without any evidence on it's youtube show.. then listeners hit boards and act like it reliable.. Worthy has never said anything, his family hasn't said a thing.. now he hates Ewers (who are still roommates)?

All started from this "You know IF I'M WORTHY, MAYBE I GO TO USC this time...."

That is a mystery. With that offense you have running backs lining up to come there.

This happened in the 2020 class too. We whiffed on every big target and ended up with a 3* reach as our only RB, though it turned out to be Miyan Williams so it wasn't a bad end result. We did hit Treyveon Henderson in the next class though, so hopefully we do similar next year.
