Willie Nelson belongs in the Rock and Roll HOF as much as Black Sabbath belongs in the Country Music HOF. I understand Hank Williams and Jimmie Rodgers since they would definitely qualify in the early influence category, but Willie and Dolly didn’t really get started until rock was already a thing and neither have ever released a rock album

Seems like they’re trying to correct some of the past snubs the last couple years, but they’re also not going to jump all in on it, letting one or two of the legacy acts in every year while trying to broaden the appeal and keeping up with deserving acts that are newly eligible means a lot of them won’t be alive by the time they circle back to them.

Fans just shouldn’t take it too seriously. It’s an industry suckfest that’s fun to watch the clips of if someone you like gets inducted.
