2024 Recruiting Thread

I know per usual depends which service you are looking at. You like 247 and they have him #2.

he's been reclassified to 24.. even with his '25 ranking he is still top 10...at TE

His 247 composite is better than the #1 TE in 2024 though. Either way he is an elite TE prospect. Not that many TE's have been rated as highly as him.

It will be a shock if OU doesn't get Williams Nwaneri and David Stone. Also a shock if OU doesn't get Caden Durham and Taylor Tatum.
Nwaneri is not even close to a lock to you guys. Would I be surprised if he ends up at OU? No. But you shouldn't shocked if he doesn't. Mizzou is dropping some serious NIL, and UGA is looking really good with him. Gonna be hard to turn down being LB1 at LBU.

You never know but I like Oklahoma's chances with this kid. It doesn't hurt that his head coach is a former Sooner running back.

Yeah, I am not disagreeing that you guys are in it, even in the lead. But you shouldn't be shocked if he ends up at UGA. He and his family had a great visit, and he recently did a backdoor unofficial visit that got out publically but wasn't supposed to. I'd hate to be going up against Scott/Schuman/Champ/Smart explaining what they would be able to do with him and what our DL have recently done in the NFL.

FWIW, I was mistaken when I said above he is an ILB. I know that he is a DL. We've put about $100 million worth of those in the NFL in the last 3 years. That said, it is an area that Venables can point at when he was at Clemson - he did well with DL, including two he recruited that were 1st rounders this year. So, I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up at OU, not should you be if he ends up at UGA.

You quoted a bunch of On3 stuff, so I don't know if you are on that site ... their eval of where UGA is with regard to Nwaneri is ridiculous.

LOL ... so, no games have been played and Raiola drops 4 spots? GTFO. But, whatever. He still has to beat out Stockton and Puglisi in his class.
he dropped from #1 to #11..

Use your heat dome addled brain.

On3 has two rankings like 247 - their own rankings, then they have their version of the 247 "Composite" that they now call the "On3 Industry." They were using another term that was similar to "Composite" and I am guessing were challenged by 247 and changed it to "On3 Industry."

Raiola was 7th on On3's own rankings, and 1st on their "Industry" rankings. They dropped him to 11th on their own rankings, which then dropped him to 2nd on the Industry rankings. He's still ranked first on Rivals and 247, 2nd on ESPN.

So, basically, he's ranked as follows:

247 - 1st
247 Composite - 1st
Rivals - 1st
ESPN - 2nd
On3 - 11th
On3 Industry - 2nd

So, no, he didn't drop from #1 to #11 on any of the rankings, and to your surprise and shock, he's still either 1 or 2 on 5 of the 6 rankings.

But, nice try.

that's a lot of explaining for a QB that fell from 1 to 11

he'll end up being a good TE for y'all

Not that bad if we get Durham.
i like durham.. but not sure if he's an every down back on the college level..kid can fly but he's also on the smaller side

I think Tatum is good.. surprised that they ranked him as high as they have.. and that's not me trolling because he's a sooner lean or anything

I like Xavier Robinson better than both of them to be honest and we have him locked up. Sawchuck and Barnes are both still young. And we got that group from last year. DeMarco getting all 3 at this point would be impressive.
