But, good teams, like yours which have more money than most, can't afford to pay everyone, every year. At some point you have to maintain a culture and the NIL-first athletes aren't the ones you want, IMO. No one WR is worth that money, especially when you have to bump everyone else, and then do it all over again next year.i'd pay a mil for Ryan if i had it
Ryan Williams isn't anywhere in the same hemisphere as Evan Stewart was in terms of his recruitmentBut, good teams, like yours which have more money than most, can't afford to pay everyone, every year. cause he's from cleveland.. SEC schools don't want 4.99 40 speed from their RBs2025 guy but @Wild Turkey this kid does not have an offer from Auburn? WTH?

best P5 RB this season is from the SouthSomething tells me he isn't running a 5 sec 40 and becoming a top 100 recruit as an RB from Cleveland. Only the southern schools get that sort of bump up

Understood. Doesn't change my point ... you can't just pay the prima donnas a ton of money without having to up the payments to everyone else. Then you have to do it all over again the next year. And the year after that. At some point, you run out of money, even Texas. And you have a culture of it's all about the NIL. We haven't seen that you can win that way, yet.Ryan Williams isn't anywhere in the same hemisphere as Evan Stewart was in terms of his recruitment
Evan made it clear he wanted to make as much as he could from the get go.. Him choosing aggy only confirmed that.. Jimbo was selling him on the only good WR he ever had.. at FSU. Everyone knew Fisher couldn't develop WRs.. it was an offense that fed TEs. Yet he still chose to go there..

Ohio State offensive lineman Carson Hinzman made interesting claims about practices prior to the Missouri loss.www.outkick.com
I thought the market for proven mediocre QBs was 1mm but if the market is getting where linemen and receivers are asking for 1mm a year then the system is busted.
Bitch you'd move there for 65K and like it.i would demand a million for me to live in columbus OH too

There are only 29 'elite' Offensive Tackles in the 2024 class. By elite I mean either 4* or 5*

So only 48 total 'elite' O-Linemen among 130 teams.
The vast majority of offensive linemen are 3 stars and those that can develop and coach them up best will have the most success.
Skill players QB, RB, WR, are a different story though.
As others have pointed out, OL are hard to ID in HS. Basically big ass people are more rare than fast people. And then in HS they just use their size and lean on people. Good OL take a couple years to get into a S&C program, get their weight right, and then develop. I know you know this, maybe for ohers. OL and DL ... get all the blue chips you can get, but have to have developmental guys. Some of our 2021 DL guys were 3*.yeah i don't get how they can have like 7 WRs or so in the top 32 overall players.. and like 3 OL..
It takes a truly special player to be able to come in and play OL right away in college. Other than QB is has to be the biggest development leap on the field. As others have pointed out, OL are hard to ID in HS. Basically big ass people are more rare than fast people.
