2025 Recruiting Thread

Cracks me up anyone acting like Moore or any other coach had anything to do with this. Just call it what it is a pure $$$ win, which is fine that's the game now a days, but don't go around acting like the coaches pulled some great feat to get him.
It is hilarious that these same fans cheering their asses off because they bought a 5* QB were trying to rip OSU's NIL situation earlier this season.

Jet skis and babes in bathing suits will never go stale.
You're right. Those are fun things to do in Ohio, among the shitloads of other things we actually have to offer.

I already see them claiming on their boards that this is "different" because the kid is from Michigan and actually wants to be there "it's not just for the money"

I think Cignetti could really boost recruiting there. The Midwest usually has a lot of talent and it goes anywhere but Indiana, but if he can keep it up they could actually have something there
You think he can increase HS recruiting to the level of the biggies? We know he can recruit the transfer portal very well.

Michigan people are family people.

I certainly wouldn't say they're going to start pulling in OSU level classes, or even PSU/ND types. However, top 25? Very realistic, especially if they finish the season strong and continue the momentum next season.

Seeing the Buckeye fans on this board going bananas because of the Bryce Underwood flip is pretty darn entertaining.

"But... but... NIL... Michigan is not supposed to buy players via NIL too... that's not fair."

Hehe... Hoho... Haha!

$$$ is King...

But ya still need good coaches.

We aren't going insane we are laughing at you idiots who were saying how bad it is to buy players when other teams do it.

Your hidden point rings very true. Nobody is going to be legit scared of Michigan until Moore can prove he's not in over his head and until they can actually build a roster that's playoff caliber. 1 QB and 1 good but not elite WR recruit flipping to you isn't gonna do that alone.

I could see them getting to that level. But if CFB history shows us anything, a team needs to be in the top 10 to make much of a run year in and year out. A few have caught lightening in a bottle but overcoming the discrepancy in talent requires some luck imo.

The one wildcard in that history is there wasn’t such a thing as NIL and the transfer portal. That’s why I think the Indiana types meed to rely on those two things heavily. Jmo

Yes but just because a kid and his family are from there doesn't mean that the kid wants to stay there.

We've seen plenty of talented kids leave Ohio over the years because they wanted to be away.
ohio sucks

4 star (composite) QB Kevin Sperry out of Texas has flipped from Oklahoma to Florida State.

This will probably also impact the commitment choice of 4 star QB Carter Smith out of Florida who decommitted from Michigan a few weeks ago when Michigan started going hard after Bryce Underwood...

Carter Smith has (had) two finalists, Wisconsin and Florida State... so Wisconsin is now probably in the drivers seat for Carter Smith... but that probably depends on who Wisconsin hires as the new OC... possibly Tom Herman?

Losing players to Fsu lol. I'm okay with losing Sperry though. OC will bring a QB and better offensive coaches. And sperry leaving is not really a big deal. His star has faded since he committed and there are rumors about him and his dad being flakes. We don’t need another rattler with half the arm talent.

I expect anyone jumping to FSU is purely $$$ driven at this point, I wouldn't lose any sleep over that either.
