If Cam Ward is seeing 1 million+ to transfer, DJ and other QBs are probably seeing similar deals

I honestly don't care that Stoops turned us down, if the offer was even made. Never wanted him so if he was asked and said no then I'm fine with it. You are sure grasping at some weak straws. I believe you were seeing what you wanted to see. My stance with Stetson from the moment his eligibility at UGA ran out was that he’d never play a significant snap in the NFL, but hoped I was wrong

You had at least a dozen posts telling me I was wrong about Stetson being drafted too high. My stance was based on his size, his shit attitude, him chugging a 5th of Pappy's like an idiot, and his choosing the easy path through CFB and that he couldn't handle the pressure of the NFL.

I was spot on for all those through. I too hope he gets his life in order, but doesn't change the fact he's a punk and there was better talent available in the 4th round.

I don’t think I said a word about his draft position. I was surprised he went higher than the 6th round. You have me confused with someone else. I disagreed with you about his work ethic, being a punk and any liquor not being chuggable, but not draft position or his prospects as an NFL QB

You have to remember 90% of what you read in the press is BS or spun to some degree.

My bet is Stoops did flirt with aTm but mainly did it for contract leverage.

Stoops is the has the most wins of any coach in KY history. He is having the type career up there where the name the filed after you. He ain’t leaving that because he is way too smart and seen the other side of the business. Stoops is a guy who loves coaching and wouldn’t know what to do if he wasn’t so why leave where you are the top dog, have the support of everyone and make great money.

Stoops was never coming.

Read through that thread, yeah, I never defended Bennett being drafted in the 4th round or propped up his future as a player in the NFL. I did say his ceiling was worse than Ryan Mallet’s NFL career though:

Stoops really did get offered and he accepted.. even the minister of propaganda admitted this.. the big weight boosters were upset.. which is why they leaked it and Bjork was told it wasn't going to happen
