Boeheim + the Cuse fans i met at the ACC tournament in 2014 are why I'll never root for Syracuse.

i was so PUMPED when NC State knocked those orange mfers out during Cuse's first ACCT game ever LOL

and Boeheim can piss off with his whining about Greensboro. not everybody is in love with cities that resemble garbage dumps + get destroyed by snow storms in March, Boeheim. get over it already, old man
 
Saturday's game between UNC and Duke mark the first time since 1960 that going into the contest neither of which are ranked.

Our last 10 years in the BigEast we played them at home about 3 times. We always had to go up to their football stadium and play them. I hated them and their whiney ass coach too.

they're whiners and yeah they use the same facility for both football and basketball, LOL

they're like Maryland on steroids with all of their whining. Good lord, the ACC was so close to having Syracuse + Maryland in the same conference. That would have been the absolute worst

I live by and amongst Twerp fans. They are very hard to get along with when they show some talent. Hell I just saw their old coach(Gary Williams) last week when we went away at the beach. I severely dislike them almost as much as VPI fans. Pitt fans just don’t give a shit.

I think the reason why is because they've lost a lot of close games. With that said, some of the losses are to really bad teams(Miami, MSU, Pitt). Also having the outlier game against Clemson really skews their stats. Because of that large MOV, they've actually outscored their ACC opponents by a combined 31 points.

yeah, that is what i have been looking at. They've also had close wins against bad teams.

some of their losses are HORRIBLE and they're a .500 basketball team

Yeah, I don't agree with them being the 35th best team either. I was just trying to figure out why that might be the case. I also think I heard somewhere that it takes about 18-20 games worth of data to completely ignore last season. It might be less I can't remember. That could also be why they are still top 40. So I think you're right when you say playing less games makes you stay up higher in KenPom.

this makes sense

Wake has been competitive in every game, sans Georgia Tech and Notre Dame. I'm guessing Wake has overperformed kenpom's prediction in every game with the exception of those and possibly Longwood, and they have seen very little upward moment. With a blind eye, I'd say Wake should probably be somewhere around #90. They are currently #118

Duke should be somewhere in the 70s, imo
