Alec Baldwin killed crew member Halyna Hutchins on set of Rust

That makes no sense. That alone has to be appeal-worthy.
I'm pretty sure if the prosecution loses this that it's over. I don't think prosecutors get to appeal a not guilty verdict.

It virtually ended the case. No reason the jury shouldn't believe that Baldwin didn't know there were live rounds in the gun. The dumb bitch armorer who was already imprisoned for lax safety standards was the one who brought the ammunition on set. Removing his culpability as producer means his contribution of cutting corners on safety won't be a factor in the jury deliberation.

Oh what a relief! I guess no one killed Halyna Hutchins after all. Just a freak accident where someone pointed a gun at her, and shot her in the chest. Zero responsibility.

At this point, let’s just hope Baldwin gets the OJ treatment for the rest of his life. And let’s see Hutchins’ family go for everything he has in a civil trial.

Baldwin's an incredibly self-centered asshole, who was lucky to score the SNL Trump gig after 30 Rock. The guy treats people horribly, throws fists and slurs at anyone who challenges him, and still manages to pretend that he's not an egregious attention-seeker. I'd agree it's unlikely he ever rises to prominence again, but I also wouldn't count him out either.
