Can't be right. No worse tackling performance than when we played Texas. You have to at least get within arms length to tackle a player. We never got close enough to even touch a receiver wearing a burnt orange jersey much less tackle him.

ou insider joined Anwars pod today (UT $9.95er).. he said that he thinks Grinch puts such an emphasis on turnovers that players spazz which causes mis tackles. Bryson Washington (I really like) and Joshua Eaton (i'm surprised) have been getting reps with the ones this week in practice.

Also, he didn't give the vibe that the locker room was a powder keg just waiting to go off with another loss like the rumors coming out of ou insider were saying this weekend.

ou is playing with house money, all the pressure is on Tom and Texas. Hell they just lost a dual threat ATH in Billy Bowman last night (5 star at that), and it's looking like he's gonna play WR (of course) and reunite with his GF in Norman (plays on softball team).
 
Yeah the freshman defense backs have not been quiet this week tweeting and pushing to give them a chance. They all have size so I say give them a series or 2 and see what happens.
 
But yeah all the pressue is on texas. OU is young and in full rebuild. Texas is not. But beating texas has become as common as a liberal in Austin so it's expected.

If Eaton gets some snaps.. Sam better exploit that.. last season was his first season playing CB full time, he was a WR prior to that in high school. He committed to Texas before flipping, but we all knew he was a project. figured he'd be ready to compete for a starting spot in year 3. So I'd look forward to see how he does out the gate.

I really liked Bryson Washington, he's going to be a really good safety for y'all.

The team with the better run game in the Red River Rivalry almost always wins. Let's look at the past 20 years.

It has happened every year but two since 2000: 2014, when Texas outrushed OU but lost 31-26, and the 2018 regular season, when OU outrushed Texas but lost 48-45.
Who has the the better ground game heading into Saturday? Looks like Texas, which ranks No. 23 in FBS at 191.3 yards per game. OU ranks No. 57 at 122.7.

Nope. Ehrlinger is Texas' third leading rusher this season in both yards gained and average yards per carry. Ingram and Johnson rank above him in both categories.
