Big East Basketball

I guess it worked for Edey. I do like that guys are staying longer, but they're just switching teams now.

I've had enough of stiffs like Kalk an Dickinson tho.

BE recruiting is upticked.

Conference is in good shape

Edey got noticeably better tho and became dominant. Also, still only was 4 years.

But yeah the league is in great shape. Everyone has done good retention wise and then reloading where needed for most part.

I’m not entirely sure what X plan is tho. They will be back this year. But it’s a roster that reeks of Miller bolting in April. Otherwise seems like it’s on a every other year type plan and minimal continuity.

Shit. Bad start. Stupid scrimmages

Owens is likely to be a huge piece even as a freshman. Needs reps and obviously needed for the gauntlet starting week 2.

Damn, outside of St John's the BE is off to a slow start. CCSU and TX Southern are like 250+ quality teams.

Hard to know what scores are even live though just looking at that. Im now watching marquette game so I cant see what the real scores are on FS1

They are all so badly behind

Yeah, I noticed that too. This whip around coverage is giving me serious early 2000's tournament vibes. Pretty sick.

Does appear lot of the BE games still tight though

Providence can lose for all i care. Their fans are the most annoying in the history of social media. Everyone else needs to win

Kam is special. Could have 5 assists if guys made wide open shots.

The Ross hype in 1 half vs Stony Brook looks good. We need a wingman.

Some of these spreads like Nova -19 is a joke with 75% of the team being new

Should bet some of these games...

People are gonna look at this game and see Kam go for 32 on 14/16(insane) and think the rumors of him as a PG were false. No, he was looking pass all night. We just missed every wide open 3. Gold cost him 6 assists alone tonight.

Something to monitor going forward. Can the role guys make shots when it matters.

Kam is special. Ross and Mitchell are a great 2 and 3. Joplin can score. Anyone else????

DePaul 33% from the FT line? Was that a real stat? How are they gonna compete in the Big East

When is Jones coming back?

When is Jones coming back?

He may not. TBH not sure hes needed much. Itll come down to if he wants to burn a year by returning in like January.

Kam has to be on the ball. Ross is clearly going to be the 2nd handler with Norman getting reps off the bench.

Owens is the one we need to get healthy. Lot of hype around him as a 6'7 ball handler. Parham looked comfortable(couldnt shoot for shit today) in his debut and Owens is the one deemed more ready.

Gold has got to be better though my god.

It was Stony Brook. Who are bad and also have zero defensive size. So massive grain of salt but

A 3 man starting back court going for 64 pts. 13 assists. 0 TOs. 19/20 on 2s and 7/11 on 3s. Is absurd. Like doesnt happen.

George Mason will instantly be a tougher test friday. But a veteran and versatile back court was the top reason for optimism in the post Kolek/Oso world. Still have no clue what our floor/ceiling will be. But those 3 being a top BE backcourt will go a long way.

Looking forward to the George Mason vs. Marquette game.

Yeah it’s a bit of a scary game early. I’d almost rather just play another high major week 1.

Also playin it at the AL in the tiny gym. Student only. Not sure if that’ll help or hurt. Could go either way.

Yeah GMU is usually like a fringe top 125ish type of team. It's definitely a dangerous one.

On a side note. Nova is struggling with Columbia. And Grown is struggling with Lehigh. League needs to be better than these close games.

I honestly don't know if Nova is even better with Dixon. With him they literally just run every thing through him that every other player has basically zero value. When he sat for a minute the other big guy and Longino got going a bit. But then Columbia heated up.

Thing is, Neptunes job is in such danger, I think he has to just run it all through Dixon and pray

Honestly might be better for the program if they don't make the tournament rather than barely sneak in and just get rid of him. Nova was basically the top program in CBB the previous 5/6 years and with him they aren't even a top 40 program.

100%. Its clearly a program that's still respected considering he's been able to get quality transfers these last few years when its known the guy is in over his head.

And they gotta move now. Too many other teams consistently reloading with good coaches that Nova has no excuse. If ISU can go Hoiberg, Prohm, TJO and have success with all 3. Nova can replace Jay Wright and make sweet 16s

Yeah, this is pretty unacceptable. He's taken on way to many losses to terrible teams. I think last year they lost to Drexel and Penn without looking it up. Looks like another one here. Not a great sign if you can't get your team up against inferior competition.

I'm not sure who they'd go after, but it can't be any worse than what he's done.
