Big Ten Basketball

Made that game against Penn State way harder than it needed to be. When these guys are good they are really good, but when they arent its ugly. There's no real inbetween either its either one or another.

Rutgers beat Michigan State by 30 and held them to 37 points.

Come March I think it would be advisable if Iowa does not ever play this lineup featuring all back ups and older McCaffery.

I'm dumb. I see Iowa getting points vs Illinois and immediately pound it thinking the odds are just factoring in home court stupidly with no fans.

Didn't realize Fredrick was out.

Would be nice if Bohannon realizes theres a game going on

Iowa's bench is really, really bad for top 15 team.

Pretty amazing they are somehow in this game without Fredrick.

I'm happy with how we played tonight given CJ being out and Garza getting in foul trouble . This wasn't one you expect to win when the schedule comes out. Schedule the next 5 is pretty light by B10 standards with only 1 ranked opponent ( OSU at home). Take care of those 5 and we will be right there

Damn. That was a fun game to watch. Iowa definitely missing Frederick. I'm not too worried about Iowa long term. Still think they have E8/FF potential.

This game actually impressed me more than most others this year. Being in the game late at Illinois with Fredrick out is not something I expected at all.

Yeah, I agree. Just can't keep losing too many more games. You want to avoid being the #7 or #8 overall seed to avoid Gonzaga/Baylor.

Sure. I think I see a few more losses (2-3). Of course a lot depends in getting CJ back. Not sure where a 21-6/20-7 Iowa team lands on the S curve but a lot probably comes down to the B10 tourney too

We played good at home? Frazier lit it up?

GTFO

didn’t see 1 minute of the game.
Illinois has been in the state of Illinois for over a month straight. We need to get on the road. That’s where we did a lot of damage last year after Christmas. Don’t ask me why

We just lost to Maryland and Ohio St at home and you didn’t think you’d be in the game late?

If you would've told me preseason we'd be at Illinois without Fredrick and Garza in foul trouble I would've told you we'd lose by 20. Illinois Iowa is a far bigger rivalry than those other 2 teams. There was almost no chance yiu guys weren't going to play well

4 teams at the top. Illinois, Iowa, Michigan and Wisconsin. Probably another 3 or 4 that can give a run to Sweet 16. The league is awesome this year.

Well obviously it’s not preseason and I didn’t see the game. We’ve been losing games at home and the Ohio St game we were never really even close. This Illinois team is a roller coaster but maybe they get going here after being in the state of Illinois the past 30-40 days straight

Both teams played very well. It was a freaking great game. Sorry you missed it

Penn St is an interesting team. They're probably the only team in CBB I could see making the tourney with a .500 record. I mean they're a top 30 NET ranking at 6-7. If they finish say 13-13 there's a real argument to make that they should be in. They're likely to have 19+ of their 24 regular season games be Q1 or Q2

Was just thinking the same thing. And they actually have a some real nice OOC wins with winning at VT and vs. VCU. I'm going to guess, if they get all their games in as scheduled that only 3 of them(vs VMI, vs. NW and vs. Nebraska) will be outside Q1/Q2. And they'll have a top 10 SOS. I think they have a real good shot to finish at least 5-4 which would put them at 11-11 after the end of the regular season. And one of the games they look like they'll lose(meaning not being played) was at Nebraska, which odds are was going to be a win.

Thank god the gophers stole that Iowa home game.

This team really isnt very good. But should still comfortably get in.
