BREAKING: Saban Retiring

Your solid backup could be another teams starter. There are some BAD starters across the NFL. Wouldn't expect him to pass up Burrow, but he could be worth some trade value to a lower tier team.
I don't think he has performed better than Flacco has with the Browns so he is going to get that call before Browning plus you've got a new group of QBs entering the league that teams will take a chance on.

I just don't think there are more than a couple of true starters right now you would put Browning over and there is a line for those slots. he just isn't a franchise QB and it's a QB driven league.

I mean Geno is a starter in the league.... :L

I said Locksley as a joke yesterday, but apparently there is a little traction there now.

Also just read Eli Drinkwitz(or however you spell the Mizzou coach’s name) is a possibility
Drinkwitz is interesting a its hard to argue with the job he has done but I don't see that being a fit at all.

If they get past Kiffin in the selection the fanbase is going to commit suicide.

Kind of a one year wonder IMO, but they could do worse

like I said there are 2 or 3 guys that Browning could probably compete and maybe win the job but he is not going to be a franchise guy and most of those teams are going to chase young talent coming into the league.

He can still carve out a career as a bench warmer. Hopefully Burrow stays healthy and you don't have to see him cover a big stretch of the season again. It was still interesting to see him getting that shot.

They're gonna sink again together. So romantic.

Interesting so that means its either DeBoer or Bama is passing on Norvell. Regardless Sexton is getting everyone a raise right now.

We were expecting to have to pay DeBoer around 10m/yr. I hope they don't do an 8 year deal like FSU did. That's a hell of an anchor if DeBoer can't keep things at the high level he had in his first 2 years.

I'm not as certain of that. My guess is we've got more than one coach on the line right now. This very well could be stretching out because like Saban did, we've got some guy saying no that we think could still say yes.

Still, seemingly all we've done so far is move through the hot names off the johnny-come-lately board. I can't help to notice the more experienced names on the list haven't came out to say they're remaining in their respective positions.

But Sexton is definitely getting some mofos paid. I wish that big bastard would represent me.

kind of depends on what the expectations are. will the powers that be let 9 wins be enough or double digits becomes a requirement. Michigan at Iowa back to back then end with USC, at Penn State, UCLA bye and finish at Oregon in the last 4 games could be hard

If DeBoer does turn down Bama for his new UW deal, that would make them at least 0-3 in their search. Who would've thought?
