I looked him up. Played for Mainz in Bundesliga 2 from 1990 to 2001. All time leading scorer. Then coached Mainz and got them promoted for the first time ever. Took over Dortmund after 13th place finish. Might have stayed at Dortmund since he had just signed a long term deal, but Dortmund lost back to back seasons Goetz and Lewandowski with January signings, even though they finished the season. Goetze announced his signing in 2nd leg of UCL Semi-final when they beat Real Madrid and then in final lost to Bayern. At that point he knew he was bigger than Dortmund....and in fact he was. Dortmund loss, Liverpool gain.
 
Musiala still injured. On bench I heard today. Here we go versus the bogeyman team.
 
Geez Union Berlin looks good. Next week Bayern opponent.
 
Hernandez's passes are amazing. I really hope they extend his contract soon.
 
Scally has made some important stops and intercessions so far.

Upamecano again against Gladbach. WOW what a bonehead play just like the Pokal last year. Sade Mane has offside problem that needs to be resolved quickly...and he is laughing about it too. I was also worried Coman and Sane starting. No surprise both can't hit the net. Need to get Gnabry in and maybe Musiala if he is fit.

Mane's constant offside problems are a bit surprising. This shouldn't be something that's drastically different between EPL and Bundesliga. He's just jumping the line all the time.
 
Thuram is a finisher. I wonder if Gladbach will be able to hold onto him.
