Really the only drama is going to be whether Miami or Alabama gets tossed for the Big 12 champ.

Sans Big 12 which is winner only, seems like nothing will change as far as who the teams are unless Clemson and UNLV win.

Could rearrange among ccg participants but lower seeds are still in if the lose.

Miami even being in this conversation is freaking hilarious when they have zero wins vs ranked teams and were a cunt hair away from 8-4.

So basically..

Clemson wins …SMU gets last At-Large spot

SMU wins…Alabama gets last At-Large spot.

LETS GOOOO MUSTANGS!!!

So what happens if/when Clemson beats SMU?

2 ACC teams in?
I would say 70% SMU and 30% Alabama in that situation. Depends if Committee takes into account SMU only lost because they played an extra game.

This statement right here makes me think even with an SMU loss Saturday Bama still has a (albeit slim IMO) chance. SMU would be in the same boat as Miami

Bad losses obviously don't matter.

Ohio State only drops to 6th?

half baked bullshit GIF

Undefeated Indiana loses to one-loss Ohio State in Columbus, and the Hoosiers drop from #5 to #10. The one-loss Buckeyes lost at home to a 5-loss Michigan team with key players out. This is the least points Ohio State has scored to an unranked team in over a decade, Ohio State was a 3 TD favorite, and Ohio State dropped from #2 to #6.

Both might, if the right (or wrong) teams win their conference championships.

We're gonna be at a 64-team playoff with play-in games like basketball before you know it.

Committee dude even said that if a team isn't playing this weekend, they WILL NOT drop. Basically you can only get jumped if a team behind you wins a CCG. They're fixing it so they can take Bama

Really thought Ohio state would be 8 or 9

Looking good to get a home game in round 1

yep. committee chair's comment means that SMU/Clemson will be swapped out if Clemson wins. there isn't a scenario where the committee will take both.

i get it to an extent. Bama easily has the best win of all the bubble teams. but they also have the two worst losses. that's fine as long as that's a consistent rule.
