They're all going to source their electronics from the same pool of sources.

This is where people will get lucky.
In an older house like mine, I have zero room in my existing box, so a brand new box will be required.

And $900 is about the same price I paid for about the same thing.

Good to know.
Stayed home today for the electrician, $925 out the door and took them a little over an hour. Even if I don't get an EV now, I can always get a garage stove lol

Just got a call from the dealer today. Our Bolt is starting to be built august 24th. Dealer says they should receive it within two months of that date! We should have it something in September or October!! Means we have to really get an electrician in line. Much faster than the 4-10 months we were given.
Make up your mind.

I'm not sure you can right now.
Ford has changed the order date for the new 2023 Maverick 3 times already, and you still can't
Ford is all in on EV's what's the delay with the Bolt pieces of shit?

I saw a couple of months ago where the Ford CEO said the price of batteries will be going up about $8000 per car.
Then boom, this law is passed with almost equal tax credits.

Make up your mind.
My mind is made up. It was a joke. it was more about waiting an undetermined amount of time for the car to actually be delivered to the dealer

Got a call mid-day yesterday that our car arrived at the dealership; way earlier than expected (we were told at least October) and then when the build date was set at Aug 24 we were told late September. So we drove out and picked it up last night. No incentives on the price given it was already discounted by GM, but also no dealer markups and that was good (I was slightly nervous we would hit the dealer and they'd try something like that). Also got the GM top discount from my brother, and that knocked a whopping $2500 off -- which was surprising. Purchase all went smoothly and we took it home.

Even better, the charger we thankfully got installed just a week ago plugged in and worked perfectly. They didn't have time at the dealer to charge it up so it was only about 40% when we grabbed it. By the time we got it home at 9pm it had 59 miles left on it (we drove about an hour to a dealership to get it originally). Plugged it in and it said it would be at full charge around 3am. So right around 6 hours on the 240v to go from roughly 20-25% to 100%.

Conversely, it takes roughly one minute to go from 20-25% to 100% using a gas pump.

This generation of EVs is not practical enough for me to invest in one. It's like spending thousands on the first generation of plasma TV 20+ years ago when we [well, at least the wise of us] knew technology is just getting started on HD flat screens.
