It does put additional pressure on Levy and Paratici to get things right over the summer, but I'm pretty sure that pressure is welcomed.

Wouldn't surprise me to see Levy still plead poverty and not spend. They've been in the UCL before and he didn't really spend what he
should've.

This is true.

In Levy's defense, he was trying to build their current stadium at that time too.

No excuses this time around. They somehow got lucky and landed a world class manager. They need to keep him happy because chances are they won't find another at Conte's level any time soon.

Yeah, that was ridiculous. On top of having one player out with COVID, their roster was "unable to field a full team" because one of their guys got red carded a game earlier and they sent a player or 2 out on loan.

Makes Thursday and monday even more sweet.

As much as I'd love to see a rival fail, he needs to not make the mistakes he did with Poch and Mourinho. Let Conte pick players instead of Levy and whomever else being involved, lord knows they spent money on a lot of duds.

That's been our biggest problem in recent years. Poch's final year and the year Mou took over, that summer we spent nearly 150M on the following:

Jack Clarke is currently gone and playing in League One. Tanguy and Lo Celso we are actively trying to get rid of. Only Sess looks like he might make something of himself in a Spurs kit. We also had outgoings to help pay for some of this, notably Kieran Trippier sold to Atletico.

With Paratici at the helm as director and Conte as demanding as he is for certain types of players, I don't think we make the same mistake again if we spend 150M this summer.

Burnley draw today. Only important games left are Burnley vs Newcastle, Leeds vs Brentford, Spurs vs Norwich, and Arsenal vs Everton. Everton safe now.

One player I thought who looked pretty decent was Kulusevki as a Winter Transfer in January. Only 10 million to get him, but the little things count when 2 points separate you from 4th and 5th place. Arsenal signed no one.
 
What is this I see Everton may get relegated due to finances? What they coming down on Everton for when Man City buying up the world.
 
Stevie G can erase all of his premier league failures in 90 mins today. Coutinho can play a huge roll too. Dreaming, I know.

Leeds looking good now. Need not to give up 2 goals here in final 28 minutes and they stay up and Burnley down.
