Euro 2020 (err 2021 now)

Ukraine-Sweden is in Glasgow. Do they have distancing rules that London doesn’t have right now….or do Ukraine and Sweden not have many fans traveling?

Its a depressing atmosphere after watching Wembley rock.

Never! Can you imagine him and Sane together? Yikes!
I like how Bayern is pinching pennies now that Nagelsmann is the coach. Their excuse better not be they paid a ton for Nagelsmann, because that’s on them.

Speaking of fees, in retrospect, why did Bayern pay so much for Sané? Why the hell did Pep want to keep Sané considering he seems to be bad? Perhaps Pep was playing some poker, getting Bayern to overpay for Sané.

I think Pep did to Bayern what Mourinho did with David Luis and PSG.

Forsberg having one hell of a Euro.

Bayern has overpaid for a lot recently: Sane, Sarr, Tolisso, even Hernandez.

That was a damn good shot. The whole half the Ukraine D had given them no chances. He got a glance finally and powered that through.

Interesting first half. More than I thought it would be. Zinchenkos volly was damn nice too. Interesting contrast in styles.

I don’t think Sweden will look good at the end if they can’t create more stable possession. Ukraine possessed and defended well. Will be interesting to see the strategy to try to break this level and move on for both teams.

Extra football!!

This games a snoozer compared to some of others

Awful challenge from Danielson. He shouldn’t have even acted surprised he got the red.

Terrible challenge. No idea what Danielson is even arguing there. Easy red card

That game got almost hypnotically dull in extra time. All the players were falling like flies. And then….boom….it’s over.

I’m sure England is thrilled that it went extras and the team that won had the most players fall injured.

You got that right. Can't fault him today he came on so late, but Werner yes. What happened to Werner? Seems only Nagelsmann knows what to do with him. No need to keep him and Sane on the National Team until they can figure themselves out mentally.

Sweden vs Ukraine was awesome,

Well Sweden was the last of my teams. A couple Forberg posts and could be different but that is the way the ball bounces. England must be elated. Another clean sheet for England next game. Zinchenko is the real deal for Ukraine though.

For next round ill call Italy, Spain, England and Denmark through.

I think Belgium is beatable. Only question mark I debated was Czech or Denmark. That one could be close.

According to Bild it is true about Kroos. Not surprised. I would not be shocked if Muller and Hummels do the same. Others like Can, Gundogan should hit the road too. Midfield will have some openings come 2022 World Cup. Some players who will definitely get a look for World Cup:

1) Florian Wirtz: a shoe in for the World Cup.
2) Jamal Musiala: got a cup of coffee here, that won't be the case in the World Cup as he should pass Sane, Werner, Gnabry on depth chart.
2) Florian Neuhaus: didn't play a minute here, will in the World Cup.
3) Karim Adeyemi: if knuckleheads Sane, Werner, Gnabry keep their shit up, won't be long before he gets a shot at the top club. Has incredible pace.
4) Mergin Berisha: another Salzurg player like Adeyemi who is getting the Jesse Marsch coaching benefit at Salzburg. Could get shot when Muller retires but probably not in World Cup.
5) Youssofa Moukoko: next stop under 21's. But World Cup 2026 look out. Again another forward where Germany needs competent ones badly.
6) Lukas Nmecha: Germany needs a number #9. He is the best out there right now.
