I forgot to mention, I was even an alterboy/server. Assisted in the preparation for communion, carried the cross leading the choir and the minister and the 2 other servers in an out.
Memorized and still recall several very long prayers. Actually fainted in the big preamble to the blessing of the wine and bread. Nothing to kneel against, free kneeling, dressed in a smock, endless prayer.... BOOM. Next thing I know the leading choir lady is slapping my face in the vestry.....
But I'll have you know, I got back on that horse and finished the service to an applause.
Took one for the team.

He was Jehova Witness and doesn't understand that is a non-Christian cult and hasn't experienced a true relationship with Christ. Unfortunately that combined with his early life experiences have jaded him towards the concept of a higher power.
I pray for him because the majority of his world view isn't his fault. He has done exceptionally considering the obstacles he was given.
It's weird how you've construsted a skeletal shell of my upbringing and it's shallower than a skeleton.
