Lions Favs Trade For Lamar Jackson

Before Staff got to the Rams, he was 0-3 in the playoffs. With more turnovers than touchdowns. I’m not holding what Goff did in one game when he was 24 against him.

Would not support trading him back for Staff straight up.
Peyton Manning was 0-3 in his first 3 playoff games and he played like trash. Big Ben completed 57% of his passes with 3 TDs and 5 INTs in his first 2 playoff games, and Eli was almost identical. I'm sure you could look at the majority of all-time great QBs and they'd have looked like trash their first few games in the playoffs.

Bingo. Just because the Browns made a dumb decision doesn’t mean everyone must follow suit.

Just like when the Rams gave up way too much for Stafford. Doesn’t mean that’s what the Jets will give up for Rodgers.
the Watson deal was bad for a number of reasons, but I feel like fully guaranteed contracts are something the NFLPA is eventually going to push for. of all the sports with salary caps, i feel like football is the only one where players sign deals and then everyone is like, well let's see what the actual numbers are. so many fucking tricks and loopholes for GMs to use, it's annoying.

and i spell guarantee wrong every fucking time with a u instead of an a. i blame that fucking alligator on tmnt.

Could be wrong, but had the Rams won that SB, Goff would be the second youngest SB winning QB ever. Behind Big Ben. And only by a couple months.

Well, the secondary in the last couple weeks has went from least talent in the league to the strongest part of the defense.

Which isn’t saying anything, as the linebackers and line still are near the bottom talent wise. But a lot of picks to change that. Could see an early pick still used on the secondary. Moseley is coming off an ACL tear and CJGJ played corner for Aaron Glenn in New Orleans. Not safety like he did in Philly.

Oh Schmitty I’m not just looking at 1 game for Goff bud lol

He really wasn't awful in his first playoff game either. 53.3% comp isn't good, but 259 yards with 1 TD/0 INT is not bad at all for a dude who had just recently turned 23. His last playoff game was 2 years ago @GB and he hit 78% of his passes for 174 yards/1 TD/0 INT. I think he has a higher ceiling in Detroit with this offense, honestly.

LMAO they weren't running prevent you dolt. Neither Philly nor Seattle were running prevent, thanks for proving you didn't even watch the game. You're just bitter that Goff is in a way better place than the Rams currently are.

Oh now no one runs prevent in Q4 up almost
20

More genius :L

Jump keep going lol

I understand how you could sour on the guy.

But for me, I think he takes less risks than the last guy we had. And “plays smarter”.

His worst season turnover wise with the Rams, he still gave the ball up less than Staff has in either of his seasons with LA.

I do not miss the Brett Favre style of quarterback play. Not all of that was Staffs fault. But last year was pretty typical Lions football. Talented offense, shit defense.

If he would have thrown a TD we would have gotten close. Lol

But BB switched the defense play with 15 seconds left on the play clock. Aka Mcvay couldn’t communicate with Goff anymore

You get too far up in your feelings for this kind of talk. I didn't say "no one runs" it. I said they weren't in that game. It was a 10 point game with over 14 minutes left in Q4. Did you seriously think a team would run prevent in that situation? Have you watched professional football?

If he hasn’t offered to fuck McVays old lady, he’d still be your quarterback.

Let’s see what the GM thinks and if he keeps Goff, let’s see how he does against a tougher schedule with some expectations.

I’ve got no problem with Goff and he’s in the right place for him. Coach is no BS hard nosed guy which is what Goff needs.

Obviously the moved paid off for us. Goff can Dilfer his way to the Super Bowl. He’s proven that

Lamar also doesn't use an agent, and to his own detriment at this point.
An agent, at least one that has other clients, would have been talking to teams for years now and would know exactly what Lamar is worth on the open market. Lamar seems to only have his yes-men around him telling him he is the best QB in the league and should get a trend setting contract.

Honestly at this point he should say fuck it all and ask for a cap percentage salary. That's what the owners REALLY don't want.

You being a tard is just funny. Everybody runs prevent up almost 20 points in the fourth quarter in the NFL

What’s even more hilarious is you’re still stuck on this Philly game where the Lions lost.

“But but but it was close”

You can just admit you didn't watch the game, because they weren't running prevent. Again, it was a 10 point game with 14:15 left in Q4. If being "stuck" on a game is merely pointing out you making up some BS for your illogical agenda against Goff, call it what you want. I'm neither a Lions nor Browns fan, but it's obvious Detroit is in a great spot at QB. Sorry the Rams are bloated fossils at this point. You'll get over it.

Gannon's base defense is basically prevent. was a shit D coordinator.

CJGJ is nice. Came off as a bit of a bitch when he did that blackballed tweet, but whatever. The copium is using the PFF grades that listed him as the 3rd best safety on the eagles behind Blankenship and Epps. Granted, Blankenship's first play replacing him he did intercept Rodgers, so maybe their grades aren't complete garbage...

Sometimes. He is definitely a Fangio guy, but he ran his defense beautifully. He had perfect guys last year to run it, so it may get dicey if he tries running it in AZ, but they're gonna be awful anyhow so it doesn't matter.

The defense had so much talent I feel like it worked despite (in spite?) him last year. The year before Zach Wilson lit them for a half before he realized maybe playing DBs 7 yards off the ball isn't a great idea.

Very few are ever going to turn down money offered, so the big contracts I blame on the owners who can't help themselves. I don't blame Lamar for wanting all he can get. But when your demands aren't in line with what the market is offering, then reality has to set in. Lamar thinks he deserves the contract Watson got. I see his point. Doesn't mean that it will happen and also doesn't mean that if it doesn't happen then it is because anyone is colluding against him. Lamar did more to hurt his market with his antics to end last season than anyone else could possibly do.

I dont blame Lamar for getting what he can get, hell I would too,and those have stick together and just say enough is enough.......
These contract are absurdly insane...........50 mill guaranteed......??

He can sit.......

Sad thing is,it eont happen...mmm

Oh it got to a 3 point game from 38-21 at the end of the 3rd. No prevent was played!! Besides the fact that Goff only had 1 completion over 15 yards in the entire 4th.

LMAO I’m sure the eagles were terrified especially with Goff at the helm picking them apart with check downs.

Difficult to have a Goff “agenda” when you trade him and win the whole thing the next year. Thanks Jared!

And good for you for finally disowning the Browns!!

If You need to see the ring we got for trading Goff let me know.
