Mock Drafts : Chat

Next Hoops Draft

Two drafts.

Eastern Conference first.

You take 10 players from the Eastern Conference.

You have a cap of $35 (We can talk about this)

Whatever team the player had the most starts with is the team the represent.

Then we do Western Conference and once finished we have the two winning teams face off in the Association Championship.

Whatcha think?

I have an interesting Draft order rule for Basketball...

As we all know, basketball is dominated by the best players...

SO... lets even it out through the draft...

lets take the random draft order...

and lets assume there are 12 owners

if you get the first pick, then after the first round, on every odd round you swap picks with the 7th spot
if you get the 2nd pick, then after the first round, on every odd round you swap picks with the 8h spot
if you get the 3rd pick, then after the first round, on every odd round you swap picks with the 9th pick
and so on...

That sounds like a Hell of a lot of work for Tommy.
I like the idea though. Maybe this would do the same thing for Hoops

Ten player draft one half each player

GM with 1st pick - $80 cap
2nd pick- $82
3rd - $84
4th- $86
And so on..
$1 per AS team. MJ counts $20

I love this idea but we gotta think of a way to make that work. Just to use your example the player drafting first would get $80 the guy drafting drafting 12th would get $102, that obviously won't work.

Maybe if we did like

1 - 80
2 - 80
3 - 82
4 - 82
5 - 84
6 - 84
7 - 86
8 - 86
9 - 88
10 - 88
11 - 90
12 - 90

Honestly I might taper it up by 2 or 3 to 90 in the middle and down by 1 to say 85 at end. There is a little advantage to double picking last, obviously 1st pick in hoop is big advantage. Dead middle is tough IMO

Looks like we have the same thought on that

Bc he is the clear cut player that is closest to MJ...but he isn't eligible in a lot of drafts we do

Could eventually pass him one day as well but that is for another debate
