The roller skating rink has to be one of the last true American pastimes that has gone completely unchanged through time.

Big fucking warning sign on the front door saying skate at your own risk, then you get in there and it’s a total free-for-all. Kids bouncing their heads off the floor right and left. Other kids clinging to life holding the railing going less than 1mph around the track just begging God not to fall. Parents just throwing their kids out there to fend for themselves like Thunderdome. I really respect it.
