Y’all saw where we were rushing 3 again...dint ya? :dhd:

OU not enough heart or determination. Sad display of BIG 12 football.

And did you hear Urban Meyer dis the living shit out of OU's defensive line? Brutal, but true unfortunately. Say what you want about Urban but the guy does know football.

I told a buddy during the game that OUs defense looked like they were merely going through the motions and not actually try to stop. Its as if the defense relies on the offense rather than just doing their own job.

Looks at record without a starting quarterback who will be back after we dispose of Kansas next week and a running back who got a real wakeup call late in this one. Also looks at a defense that is arguably our best ever.

Your defense is not good. I wouldn’t hang your hat on that.

Is Riley controlling the defense or are the players that bad? Grinch was great with his scheme in the Pac 12 against 3 drafted top 10 QB’s with inferior talent.

Riley/Grinch taking all the smoke for this one.

...those extensions and raises might be on the chopping block.

Grinch has been lucky so far in the Big12.. he dodged an era where the QB play was some of the very best ever in CFB. He did a wonderful job in year one, but now that he has a full season of tape, OCs aren't dumb and will make adjustments.

One of my biggest gripes with him is not his actual recruiting, it's that he wants his DTs to be 280/290 lbs and quick. His go to interior play is stunting which sacked Sam 9 times last October. So when it works it works, but it's just to small when you run into a bigger more physical OL front.

They looked wore out vs KSU in the 4th qtr, and you have to give Thompson credit, he played clutch.

Riley's offense helped Grinch last season too, because they were scoring at will which led to him being really aggressive play calling wise imo. @Romeo212000 can get into more detail because he follows this team really closely.

I give Riley fits for always looking at players on his side of the ball.. If it's an ATH, he looks at them as a potential WR/H-Back/TE, where other schools look at them as a potential LB.. case in point Drew Sanders.

I don’t really watch any Oklahoma games but he always ran what he called his speed d where he had 1 big on the interior then the other 6 were essentially outside linebackers. Just did exotic blitzes on nearly every play. I am just shocked with the talent he has Oklahoma’s defense isn’t much better. Maybe Grinch is just a small school type coach.

well if it makes him feel better.. Big 12 is where defensive coordinators go to die. Hell even the best one left to Clemson, because it was just too much

If you want to make a living betting against Riley’s offenses you are not going to do well.

I was right and it's pathetic

The job is too big for Lincoln Riley.

It was painful watching OU the last 2 weeks especially in the 4th quarter. Sooners just look lost, no swagger.

The focus is on Rattler by the fans but you should really worry about trying to get a defense that can stop somebody.

OU has some issues. I am not saying that means they go .500, but there are obvious issues. They aren’t running the ball like they have the last 3 years. ISU dropped 8 every snap and dared OU to run it down their throats. They don’t have an experienced QB that can consistently carry the team. I don’t like Grinch. He reminds me of Orlando. Both rely on complex blitzes and stunts to get the job done. When they guess right, the results are fantastic to watch. When they don’t, it’s just ugly. You see a defense that lacks fundamentals and has coverage breaks and open gaps from player being out of position. Tackling looks like shit, because offenses get a lot of 1 on 1 match ups in space

Yeah that's what I don't get. Every OU fan wanted little Stoops out of the DC position and then it happen and there should be some better efforts on that side of the ball but there isn't. Aren't they recruiting studs on that side of the ball?
