Official CFP Matchups

Well said, I don’t think UM will win but I’m more confident they’ll at least stay in the game
After last night I’m not all that confident. If we play like last night, you’ll win. I think it could be a really good match up!

LOL, you're barking up the wrong tree, I wasn't born in Alabama, nor do I currently live there. I have however spent a fair amount of time in Michigan and yes, I do think there is a lot of 4 wheelers KFC and PBR...particularly in the t-shirt Michigan crowd.

I did however get an excellent education at Alabama.
Alabama is tied with such academic juggernauts as Michigan Technological University, Thomas Jefferson University and CUNY. Stick to talking about football, something Alabama can take pride in. Academics isn't something anyone from Alabama should be talking about, ESPECIALLY not to a B1G school, as a huge amount of players on SEC teams wouldn't even qualify to play in the B1G.

You guys are about the worst match up for UM. This match up reminds me of our game with Iowa. We both like to do the same things, but Michigan simply has way more athletes than Iowa. With Georgia -- it is the other way around, Georgia has way more athletes than UM.

The weakest position on UM is WR, so we aren't going to be able to stretch the field. It will be interesting to see what game plan UM comes up with, as we saw a ton of plays we hadn't seen all year against Iowa. So hopefully they have some more they more up their sleeves. Don't think the run the ball and throw to check downs is going to beat Georgia.

I'm not barking up the wrong anything. You are the one who talked about a state. I just laughed at the irony of it, as Alabama is one of the poorest states in the US.

And I'm sure you got a great education from there -- Alabama is known for their academic excellence. Just think -- they are one of the top 200 universities for academics, you must hang that diploma with pride.

I got my MBA from Alabama. It was and is a top 50 business school. When I went it was also by far the most affordable school in the top 50...the kind of thing you should look for if you're getting an MBA. My undergrad school is ranked quite a bit higher than Michigan, but they don't play football at the FBS level. So, yes, I suppose I do hang my diplomas with pride...as I'm sure you do your t-shirt.

With your Bama education -- you need to explain this one to me.

I'll try, but I'll need to type real slow for you...You're complaining about Wild Turkey pimping out the SEC in this thread, while Red Alert is doing the same for the B1G.

I have a son at Bama who got into UNC and UGA. They are giving away money for out of state students. They are 66% OOS. The people coming in could have gone to schools with better academics rankings, but chose Bama for its all around experience. And they are getting huge merit based scholarships … my son is going there for less than in-state UNC. If you think they are a bunch of dumb hicks, you’re crazy. I’ve met a ton of these people and they are sharp as can be, getting great jobs all over the US. My son has taken the MCATs, and with all As and 2 Bs will be getting into a Tier 2 med school.

The southern rube narrative is so tiresome.

Ahhhh -- the internet genius. Now you went to, essentially, an Ivy league school for undergrad, but then decided to "save money" for your MBA and slum it in Alabama. Let me guess -- you are also married to a super model, you are a multi-millionaire and just pass your time on this CFB chat board while your private plane is fueling up. :pound:

LOL, nobody from Alabama needs to hang their head to a t-shirt fan from Michigan all hopped up on PBR.

You really gonna quote USNews rankings? Look, no one is denying UM is an outstanding school. But you are way underestimating Bama or pretty much any US State school. You can get a great education at any university.

If you really want to talk USNews rankings, let’s look at the millions you spend on your “diversity” department, and hope that contributes to your ranking, but not to the education you receive.

At the end of the day, college is for growing up, making connections, and getting a diploma. You can learn anything you get taught in college on the Internet for free.

LOL, only a t-shirt fan from Michigan would find that to be an unusual story, lol, my graduating class is literally in my user name. My wife was cute, but no supermodel, we are divorced. No private plane, sorry. There are plenty of folks on this message board that are well educated...you just aren't one of them.

How did Meatchicken look against 3-9 Nebraska or 5-7 Rutgers.

Same as Oklahoma, Sparty, Ohio St., Wisconsin, and Iowa.

giphy.gif

How is that pimping the Big 10?

They all literally looked the same against (3-9) Nebraska.

Just want to point out -- PSU went 4-5 in the B1G this year. So congrats, I bet Auburn could be a top 5 team in the B1G East. :)

Auburn went 3-5 and finished 7th in the SEC West...Penn State could probably be 7th too.

Candidly don’t know that much about you guys other than your are playing really well right now. You will also be 65% / 35% your fans. Our fans are kinda deflated right now, believe it or not. I know you guys are jacked. We travel well, but not sure about this one. I’m saving my money for if we win. Anxious to read up on you guys.

C'mon man, I'm just bustin' the rubes balls, you know I'm a closet Huskers fan.

I'm sure Alabama is a good school for the South. They'd rank dead last in the B1G in academics. I don't think people grasp how difficult it is to get into alot of the B1G schools.

We are essentially just like Georgia. We like to run the ball, but we have a well balanced offense. We averaged 225 on the ground, 225 in the air. We play 2 QB's, so we have one who is sort of a game manager -- he is really accurate on shorter routes and rarely makes mistakes or gets sacked. Other QB is a 5 star freshman who has a cannon of an arm and can run, but he will make mistakes from time to time.
We don't have any big time WR's you have to worry about -- our best WR was lost for the season in the 1st or 2nd game of the year.

Defensively -- we have two elite DE's -- one has 14 sacks, the other has 11 sacks. We have an elite safety/CB in Dax Hill -- all 3 will most likely be 1st round picks in next year's draft, but we don't have the depth on defense that Georgia has. Georgia's defense is ridiculous -- all 11 starters have draftable grades.

Basically -- our strengths on offense are your strengths on defense. It isn't a good matchup for UM, but that is why we play the games.

Meh, does it really matter? If Michigan is really the best team in the country, they'll prove it on the field in January
You gotta beat the best to be the best!!! Regardless of their loss to Alabama, I think that Georgia is the best team this year. I think Alabama is the second best team, and ohio state is the third best. I have never given Cincinnati their fair credit, that is changing

Penn State could be the #1 team in the country -- they beat Auburn much more convincingly than Bama did.

I wonder if Ohio State would loan us their WR corp for the Georgia game. I'm not so sure we are going to run the ball on Georgia and i'm not sure we have the talent at WR to stretch the field on them.

Going to be a fun game to watch regardless. Can't wait to see what they come up with on offense. I'm guessing we will have to come up with some of the same type of plays we came up with against Iowa.

So you use to kick it with Dabo Swinney ?!
