I'm not sure how much further Oregon (12) or USC (14) can rise, but I expect Washington (34) will rise to mid 20's minimum, and UCLA (25) to hit the teens.

If its $35m, with the estimated extra travel costs of $10m(just what I've seen out there), Oregon/Washington would net about $3m/yr. Assuming the $22m that's been reported for the Apple deal is correct. Interesting.

Shit, if it's $40 million, that's double what they'd get from the PAC. If the Ducks and Huskies can workout a travel partners deal...seems like they'd still both be ahead financially.

All considering that's not a bad deal for Oregon and Washington. I'd be shocked if they turned it down.

Plus, it's not like you'd be stuck at that $35-40 million forever. I think I read somewhere that the payout amount increases each year until you reach full payout in, I believe, year 5.

Correct. It increases over the years and by the next media cycle they would be at 100%.

It sucks to make less than your conference mates. However, it's more than your other options and it's a short term issue. The most important thing is to secure your seat at the table IMO.

Yep, that's the key. If USC and UCLA didn't bring the 2nd largest media market in the country, they'd be getting the same deal.

Agreed. As I pointed out earlier, this is the standard Big Ten expansion rate. As long as Oregon got that, I was fine with it.

He already admitted he screwed up the math, let it go. We've all had brain farts before.

I'm honestly more surprised that Eric couldn't see that Oregon/Washington to the Big Ten was in play.
 
Ross Dellenger of Yahoo! Sports is reporting that the Big 12 Conference met Thursday and approved Arizona as the 14th member of its conference for the 2024-25 academic year. All that would stand in the way of the Wildcats joining would be the backing of the Arizona Board of Regents, which also met Thursday evening in executive session to “for possible legal advice and discussion regarding university athletics.”

No public action was taken at the meeting, which was held virtually and went into executive session (behind closed doors) almost immediately.
 
This is the consistent message I am seeing on Oregon and Washington:

On Thursday night, Dellenger reported that an offer from the Big Ten to Oregon and Washington would not be for a full share of its media rights revenue. The annual share would be in the range of $35 million to $40 million, per Dellenger. And with the cross-country travel associated with joining a conference primarily based in the Midwest, there has been a level of hesitancy to make the jump.

More people leaning towards the $40mm. The "hesitancy" comment seems to be consistent as well but that is smoke and mirrors and both schools trying to slow roll and not appear to be the ones to kill the PAC. No way does either pass it up even at the lower number.
