5 Year Average College Football Attendance Rankings:

37. Oregon - 42,205
35. Missouri - 43,570
30. Mississippi State - 46,169

Both of them still averaged more fans than you did over the last 5 years.
also I didnt average any fans
I am not the university Oregon

looking farther down that article Oregon averaged more in 2022 than both and is over seated capacity (not as high as with standing room)

I never realized how puny Oregon's stadium was. Only Vanderbilt is smaller in the SEC. Yikes.
still 24 P5 schools smaller.
Oregon's listed with Standing room adds 7 more P5 to that.

Doesn't make it any less puny, and that's not the point you think you are making when wanting to get a share of the B1G pie.

they can but doesnt mean they do.
Missouri, Miss St never got to capacity in 23 and most werent even close.

There attendance is still far greater than Vanderbilt. There is a HUGE gap between Vandy and everyone else. If you were in the area and traveled to SEC games, you would see that.

Vandy does fill their arena for Basketball though (which is why I think they should have emphasized Basketball).

ive been to one game down there Oregon at Tennessee.

meh 5 of the schools that are smaller are in Big 10.
also like i said before i dont think people are still holding out for that.

both still have larger stadiums too.
2020 and 21 throw the stats because of 0 fans and limited fans in Pac
Who’s fault is it that you don’t have a bigger stadium?

You shit on Miss State and Missouri and they are averaging as many or more fans than you are.

Auburn averaged 30K more fans a game last year and we stunk. That represents 155% of what you put in the stands. Not to mention we beat you guys with freshman QB in a year we were crap and you had a future NFL guy at QB and won the PAC.

You guys just have a massively over inflated opinion of your program. Your stadium is on par with Purdue, Indiana, Illinois and Rutgers in the Big 10.

I just wouldn’t be shitting on anyone if I were you.

I get you, but you can't compare to those that are already in ... they are in the club, you are wanting to get into the club. Right or wrong, different standard.

So you don't think UO to B1G is going to happen?

when comparing a bigger stadium to a smaller stadium looking at the numbers is a false comparison vs %. if they are averaging about the same with bigger stadiums that would mean that % capacity is lower.
also like i said the numbers are skewed due to 2020.

where was i shitting on anyone? @Volbound1700 made a comment that those schools filled their stadiums they dont.
2022 Oregon averaged 101.7% capacity.
Missouri averaged 87%
Miss st averaged 89%

Not for a while if at all. i think once this Pac 12 deal is done that the conferences will be set into the new playoff era. but thats also a bit contingent on what happens with the ACC.

What about the idea of the ACC and PAC doing a football conference? I know there isn't much chance of that happening, but I think I like it from a CFB perspective.

i would rather it be Pac 10 with an 8 game conference schedule 1 ACC game and 3 non-conference games. its the up and down of things tho. but thats how nonconference goes. 2021 3-9 Duke or 2022 9-4 Duke?
but at least instead of some schools having FCS and a couple of G5 games would guarantee a P5.
but while an Oregon vs FSU, Miami at UW and Clemson vs Utah might all look fine in any given year Arizona Duke and Cal Virginia not so much.

Now do PAC school averages.

Your crown jewel USC in one of the largest markets in the US can’t average 60K.

Word on the street:

1. With TX and OU leaving the Big 12 is takings it’s war chest and going to get aggressive with expansion.
2. Reports are ASU is very unhappy with the PAC.
3. Evidently there have been discussions with the SMU to join the PAC but that might be their desperation. However the PAC needs teams and there aren’t many options.
4. PAC still does not have a network deal and no progress has been made.

Factor in their recent financial issues and not receiving network money due to overpayment and the PAC is ripe for raiding. The perfect storm is here and the wind is blowing in the Big 12s direction.
This thread better not be stupid.

I took 2 months off this bitch and you better not have fucked me with this stupid shit.

I will get to reading but I swear to Gog if this shit is ridiculous I’m going to kick your ass metaphorically Bruce Pearl.

Cya in a few days.

Oklahoma averages about 84,000.
Might be in the small size category for the SEC though.
All sellouts.

Oklahoma is roughly on par with Auburn. You would be beaten on attendance by Alabama, Florida, Georgia, LSU, and Tennessee. So still in the top half of the SEC.

@OlyDuck, you can see how Vandy stacks up with the rest of the league with this list. Also, a lot of that 29k attendance is road fans. They do stand out compared to the rest of the SEC.

EDIT: Below is Oklahoma and Texas. Texas would be #3 after LSU and Tennessee while Oklahoma is #9. So actually bottom half.

Attendance and TV Viewership are obviously important.
