Normally an Ace cost you 3-4 top prospects.

So is anyone gonna really give up 6-8 top prospects and 2-3 solid MLB players to acquire a rental that doesn’t guarantee you shit?

The problem with Shohei is an injury can cause your best hitter and your best pitcher to go on the IL. What do you pay him. He is a better player, and a bigger drawing card than Scherzer and Verlander who are making 42 million a year? Shohei $50 or $60 million? Acuna is only making $17 million. I am kinda glad that the Detroit Tigers are not in the running.
