Was going to do pier and beam with lumber last September but the messicans kept flaking on me. Too busy and everyone wanted to build in BFE with the Corona

Then got led to this Mason and his cousin who’s the carpenter. Good dudes. Stone is free. Just paying for trips To get the stone, mortar and labor. Probably cheaper this way but close. Either way it’s gonna be the shiz

The fact that's its all real stone foundation and walls is just cool as fuck.

The best part is your kids are getting to see it built, and you guys will have a lifetime of memories to make there.

Dam right. And their kids. Should last for a long time. Just need a new roof what.. every 15-20 years?

Hell my great grand kids will probably live there and be preppers. Mad max style. Lol

when this one is done I think I might try another smaller one. 12’x15’? Like that old school Alaskan dude back in the day. Think he lived in a 11x15 tho. Put a fireplace in that and maybe not do stone to the top, but just the first 6’ or something.

That is a very steep roof and steep roofs last much longer than say, a roof you could walk on. If you use high quality shingles I estimate at least 25 years w/o any problems. A metal roof? If you can swing it, it would last 50 or more years...

Your new building is stunning and it reminds me of an old Church building from 300 years ago.

How long is the drive from where you live? That has got to be the best ride ever, every time! It's so beautiful, your cabin.

The stone work is as good as it gets. Very impressive.

Man! That thing is bad ass! I'm jealous.

Michael Jordan's a fag, though.
