Straight seeding model expected for 2025 CFP

On the flip side.. Committee is easily sway able.. So they may push ND to 5 because of them not playing a CCG.. It's up to their discretion, no?
Not according to some of our brethren here on hoopla. A few claim the committee is not influenced by ANYTHING.

Lol yea those people are delusional.

Of course the committee says they have no biases and don't make decisions based on things like past results, but we all know that behind close doors these things happen.

They went against the grain this last season and slipped SMU in instead of Bama, they will in the future use SMU getting embarrassed as a reason to never do something like that again.

Yep. They are human and carry the past into the room. None of us erase what is in our memory. Except those of us that are on the older side of the spectrum can't remember shit...but even that is recent shit.

Me too. And play the first two rounds on campus. Let the top four seeds host the second round games.
They haven't gotten there yet, but moving to 16 it is almost a requirement. No way fans can travel 4 times plus the Conf Champ weekend.

The committee shifts what their "criteria's" are about every season to fit what they want to do in that given year. That's the only obvious thing
Every season? You are being gracious. They do it week to week. Hell, the chair does it minute to minute when he is interviewed.

I’m very much hoping the ACC/B12 actually negotiated something worth while for 2026 and beyond to agree to this. Because from my view, this doesn’t benefit anyone outside the SEC/B1G and ND. Not sure why The G5 commishses would ever agree to this ether.

Texas beats OSU, loses to UGA who goes undefeated and South Carolina is 12-0. I'm guessing Texas is in the top 4 in this scenario. However far fetched I do think it could happen (not this specific scenario, just a non conference game participant being in the top 4)
Did this dude just say 12-0 South Carolina?

Can ND just start scheduling a 13th game (maybe play a week earlier to start the year?) so they can say they played the same amount of games? Or is that not allowed?
The Pope says that is not allowed

I believe they can schedule Hawaii at Hawaii for the 13th game as last game of the season. Or it might not have to be the last game, but I think it does.

The only thing they appear to have gotten was the fact that the 4 conference champs, who would have received first round byes, get the $4 million payment, even if they don't get the bye. So, teams like the G5 winner, or B12, or ACC champs who might not be ranked in the top 4, but would have gotten a bye gets the bye money.

Otherwise, the non-P2 or G5 just don't have much influence past 2025. I am open to give the ACC or the B12 more than 2 AQs, but they need to explain why. Neither can, IMO. 2 it should be.

For this to pass it needed to be unanimous is that correct? Why would at the very least the B12 and ACC almost assuredly agree take away a bye from (at least one of) themselves in 2025 without getting anything tangible in 2026 and beyond? Maybe it's something more as it pertains to governance??

But as it's looking right now the ACC/B12 has a seat at this A4 table which looks like rulings will have to be unanimous. They might not have the same influence but as it's looking they'll have some.

My hope is that the ACC/B12 negotiated a 3rd spot for ether or. Call it the 2.5 spot. The third team for each plays on conference champ week for that spot.

no anyone who has to travel to Hawaii at any time in the season can schedule a 13th game. even the other conference teams. but there has to be a Hawaii road game. Hosting Hawaii does not allow the 13th game.

They don't really have a say and it they raise too much of a stink they will just get cut out of the process altogether.

The dead one or the new one? Isn't the new one from the US? He might have different thoughts about this.
Sources within the Vatican have confirmed revising the CFB Playoff seeding process was the last wishes of Pope Francis

They absolutely were needed to approve this for 2025. And for now they can’t be cut out of the process for fear of antitrust lawsuits, hence the Group of 5 bid. That’s why I’m wondering (hoping at least for the B12) something was negotiated to essentially give up this bye this year.
