I don’t bet on sure things. He’ll be playing Cfb at least another year.

And I gave you dates too. Both QB's are 20 years old. Both QB's spent a year in a college program. Both were 1st time starting QB's last year. I'd LOVE to see what McCarthy could have done with the weapons Ewers had at Texas last year.

This is just a bad take..
JJ was an EE. He went through Spring Camp, Fall camp, was a back-up during the season, Spring Camp, Fall camp, and then a starter

Quinn was in HS when JJ went through his first spring and Fall camp, so the there is a 7-8 month difference. Not to mention if you think showing up late August/early Sept (he had to sit 2 weeks for COVID protocol when he arrived) and missing camp set Quinn up for productive practices in Sept, I am not sure what to say.

Forget it, they are both the same age.. Quinn was a 1.000 rated player he should have been starting at tosu after his first practice

What really hurt a year ago is that the one WR he seemed to get a great feel with (sorta like CJ and JSN) was Isaiah Neyor.. He returns this season, but AD Mitchell seems to be that guy this spring that he has a connection with.

There is no excuses for Ewers, Worthy and most importantly..SARK for this year. This is year 3 and he better win the conference. Sure there is no more Bijan or Rojo in the backfield but they return every starter from a year ago that had 2 true freshmen (sometimes even 3) starting on it. UT has the best bookends on the OL in the Big12 and probably in the country. They have a legit threat at TE in JaTavion Sanders and a terrific true freshmen in Johntay Cook at WR.

I can't remember a WR room this loaded or a TE as good as Sanders in over a decade plus.

Like I keep saying, Ewers is going to be fine..QBs do better from year 1 to 2 starting (like Sam) and the offense is loaded at the skill positions..even with an inexperienced RB room. There's no excuses for Sark.. he better break through

@fordman84 If Haynes taking a beating behind that OL of y'all a season ago makes you think he has no heart.. i don't know what to tell you.. Max and Connor included.. takes a lot of heart knowing your offensive line can't pass block for shit yet you still hang in the pocket

Quinn will come back as well. Who are you kidding? Caleb Williams and Drake Maye will be the top QB's off the board. NOTHING Quinn has done shown NFL teams he will be a starter on Sunday's. He isn't prototypical size for a NFL QB. He isn't mobile. He completed less than 60% of his passes. Hell -- his QBR was barely in the top 75 for his position. This while having the best running back in CFB to take the pressure off him. But hey -- keep up the excuses. :facepalm:

You tell me what you have seen from Quinn Ewers that makes you think he is NFL ready and will leave for the draft?

I'm not stupid enough to say McCarthy is NFL ready and he was LIGHT YEARS better than Ewers with less talent at the skill positions than Ewers had.

Yet you seem to think Ewers is leaving for the NFL next year after being a top 75 QB last year and leading Texas to a 6-4 record. :facepalm:

lol excuses for days.. lol you brought up that they had the same amount of time to get acclimated because they shared the same age. I called you out.. you doubled.. i then gave you dates, you triple downed on your take.

Guess we'll see what happens this year, and where QE gets drafted a year from now..
