I've been serious about looking at the Maverick.
The 2.5 with the CVT is suppose to get 40 mpg.
The more powerful 2.0 turbo with DCT get 23-24 in town and somewhere around 26-28 on the highway.
Except there are zero at the Ford Dealers. Ford stopped taking orders for the 2022 I guess about a month ago.
They will reopen orders for the 2023 on August 15th, with production set to begin somewhere by mid October.
So probably around Christmas if I order one.
I can't believe how inexpensive these things are.
I have yet to drive one, or even sit in one; because there aren't any.

Guy at the Ford Dealer called and told me that the 2023 2.0 liter turbo's would be ready to start ordering on August 2nd, instead of August 15th. Still won't start building until Mid October though. Sounds like Ford is more confident now about building and delivering vehicles. I hope so.
He said that he expected the XLT model to be the most popular, and might get it before other trim levels. Which is the one I would order.
The good thing about 'having to order' is that you can get exactly what you want. No compromises (I think).
The 2.5 ltr can be ordered starting on August 15th.

Is that just for the 2023 model? I swear when I was on the lots for my truck they had a bright blue Maverick parked out with the customers. It wasn't until I saw it that I realized how small it was, like the size of the 90's Ranger. It was the closest to a new mini truck I've seen in decades.

I saw one close up in a parking lot this weekend and they are small but what bothers me the most is how low to the ground they are. They have about enough clearance to jump a curb and thats it.
