I was wondering when the details of that were going to come out. As I've stated many times these media rights contracts are fluid. They are based on projections. If you get more eyeballs than projected the networks pay more money for that fiscal year. If you get less eyeballs than projected the networks pay less money for that fiscal year.

They played no out-of-conference games in 2020 and had arguably the biggest game (Michigan/Ohio St) cancelled.
Warren initially wanted to cancel the entire Big 10 season until he got blowback from Nebraska and a couple others. That would have been a massive revenue hit.

What a world we live in where Commissioners and recent coaches earn millions to do basically a half assed job. Warren sure did hit the road before the bad news came out.
