I agree but that is a very small percentage of NCAAF players.Factor in that aside from the CFP, any good player who a bowl game would be their last game before going to the NFL is likely to sit out, and the games are even more difficult to watch.

Blasphemy, you overlook the ability to watch next years freshmen play too!!! or the next man up replacing those NFL exits.....The only time football is hard to watch is when it is 2 teams you dont care about and one is being blown out 100 to zip, or if it is your team performing horribly.Factor in that aside from the CFP, any good player who a bowl game would be their last game before going to the NFL is likely to sit out, and the games are even more difficult to watch.
Oh for sure. But those very few on mediocre teams playing in no name bowls are the only players people care to watch. And when they sit out, good luck betting on the game.I agree but that is a very small percentage of NCAAF players.
Just bustin’ your chops, brother. If I’m not at work and I don’t have anything pressing to do, you bet your ass I’ll watch Toledo play Florida International in a bowl game
I hate to admit it, but after having it this year, I liked it. Saves managers from themselves when a starter is pitching a gem late in a close game
so you are saying that after a 4+ year no bowl appearance by Nebraska if they were to go to and win the Citrus bowl which would equate to roughly a 9 or 10 win season you woundt want them to have a trophy?I think anybody putting a bowl trophy in a trophy case that isnt a big bowl game (orange rose etc) should be ashamed of themselves.
They should refuse the trophy and opt for 150 packs of bubblegum
Bowl trophies are meaningless if they are not the big boy bowls................... so i would not want a "trophy" from that to be on display.so you are saying that after a 4+ year no bowl appearance by Nebraska if they were to go to and win the Citrus bowl which would equate to roughly a 9 or 10 win season you woundt want them to have a trophy?
#UCFacts would disagree ... Heck, they even make their own National Championships.Bowl trophies are meaningless if they are not the big boy bowls................... so i would not want a "trophy" from that to be on display.
I know in 0regon you dont have any of the most meaningful trophies in your case so you dont understand.
I would say one day that 0regon would understand, but it is more likely for Nebraska to be back in the mix for a Natty than it is for 0regon to win one.
How about "We just suck"?Fans who’s team has never lost a game straight up. There’s always an excuse. “It was a monsoon”, “the refs screwed us”, “the coach made bad decisions”, “it was on Halloween”, “it was a night game”, “it was an away game”, “it wasn’t really a neutral field because it was closer to the other team”, “the other team cheats”, the other team pays it’s players”, “our players have to go to class and theirs don’t”, “we have academic standards for our recruits and can’t get the best players and they take illiterate recruits”, etc.
Less bowls more playoff.I’ve got the bitch ass losers that call for fewer bowl games. Nobody is forcing them to watch any of them, yet they actively call for less football to try and ruin it for those of us that do watch every bowl we can
You forgot the green font.Less bowls more playoff.
Fuck bowls, make it a 64 team playoff. lol
For a reason lol. I am not saying it would be awesome, but it would at least be cool. I would love to see a 64 team CFB bracket challenge. 64 also actually happens to be the cutoff around where teams are just above .500You forgot the green font.
We already have the FCS....... we dont need a 64 team playoff unless it is 5-68th placed teams and the real playoff stays the same with only the top 4 having a shot at the actual titleFor a reason lol. Realistically, I think 16 is best, but 8 is very reasonable. 4 is a joke in my opinion. I would also like to get rid of the committee and go back to the BCS for ranking determination. We already have the FCS....... we dont need a 64 team playoff unless it is 5-68th placed teams and the real playoff stays the same with only the top 4 having a shot at the actual title
the point of the 4 team format is to ensure the 2 best teams have a chance at the title. expanding it further allows undeserving teams a shot they dont deserve and could back their way into. I could get on board with BCS with a oversight committee in case there are shenanigans that need a human element to resolve.Realistically, I think 16 is best, but 8 is very reasonable. 4 is a joke in my opinion. This argument makes no sense. They will be the final two regardless. If you think team A is a world-beater because of the "eye test" but they lose in the first round of an 8 or 16 team playoff.... well, then they weren't the best. Expanding ensures more people have a chance and a slice at the pie. It also doesn't inherently undercut any power conference like a 4 team does.the point of the 4 team format is to ensure the 2 best teams have a chance at the title.
Well if a supposed 'undeserving' team gets in and wins 3 or 4 games against top competition consecutively.... I would say that proved themselves deserving in the playoff. Say we took the top 16 as it sits right now, does Coastal Carolina deserve to be in? They haven't had a tough schedule relative to the likes of other P5 schools ranked above or below them, but say they beat Ohio St in rnd 1, then beat A&M in rnd 2, then Bama in rnd 3, then ND in the final (based on current rankings obviously).... would you seriously say that they didn't deserve it? I would like the Boise St over OU to mean something.expanding it further allows undeserving teams a shot they dont deserve and could back their way into.
