Some people say the best way to plant grass is to sprinkle it on top of the snow...Bank's inspector informs me yesterday, the same day we are closing on the house, that I have to seed and straw 20 ft from the house. We just had a hard frost so the growing season is done. I am not wasting money on grass seed. We are putting the yard in next spring
My other question is, what if it were to snow? Am I still "required" to put that shit down? I get the impression he is a pencil neck that has no real understanding of what this involves. It's on his paper so just must be...bullshit
THAT’S NOT HOW LANGUAGE WORKS, PNK.the "to a" was implied
Whatever you do don't go spend $20 on some grass seed.I may put some straw down. But i am not seeding it.
They aren’t coming out to look close enough to see if there is seed under the hay.I may put some straw down. But i am not seeding it.
Especially cool season grasses like bluegrassSome people say the best way to plant grass is to sprinkle it on top of the snow...
Never heard that before, but we throw seed down right before we know the first snow is coming every year. Helps patch up the spots our damn dogs wear down each summer. Some people say the best way to plant grass is to sprinkle it on top of the snow...

Oh, that was the other thing. His first comment was you need to cover it with hay. Yea, I am not putting hay on my yard. So I said "you mean straw right?"They aren’t coming out to look close enough to see if there is seed under the hay.
I didn't notice that so much, but I get much better TV reception.Did the COVID tracker improve your 5G signals?
I have a lot of veggies to use up right now. I need to do some meal planning puzzling tonight.
Is that a hotdish?Chop it all up, add stew meat. Simmer for hours. Kobe's Rib Tickler
It’s a pizza.Is that a hotdish?
Could be.Is that a hotdish?
i wish it was only $30. Right now bales are going for $8.00 so I am gonna be lucky to spend a little under $300Whatever you do don't go spend $20 on some grass seed.
Go buy $30 worth of straw.
I think the strawing deal is kind of silly. I always thought you strawed grass seed to help hold in the moisture. The sun isn't really blaring down this time of year.i wish is was $30. Right now bales are going for $8.00 so I am gonna be luck to spend a little under $300
I do have some root veggies to do that with. But those generally last longer. Got some cauliflower, broccoli, tomatoes, peppers that need to be used quicker than that. Thinking a cauliflower/broccoli/cheese side dish to use some of them up.Chop it all up, add stew meat. Simmer for hours. Kobe's Rib Tickler
