tOfficial “Weed Growers” Thread

Took the first Autoflower today and is hanging up in the garage. Looks and smells great and really sticky.

The best one I have done yet.
Only 71 days start to finish

Harvested late last week. Hung outside in 3 days of sunshine.rough trimmed and put in 2 large paper bags. Will age there for a couple weeks, then bottle can.
Fully cured and canned. Did a crop share but still ended up with 4.31 oz dried.

Saturday night..... Freezing in the Panhandle

It's closing in. Not long now

Took my last autoflower Friday. Smaller than the last one. Not as strong of smell, but a good smell, and sticky.

Low of 39 tomorrow night, but temps will be between 45-50 lows, and 70-80 for highs for the next 10 days at least.
This should give my photoperiods more time for bud maturity, which they need. Temps just might cooperate into November.

Forecast shows a low of 33 degrees, 10 days from now.
The end is nearing.

Ok. Just used my new Bowl Bud Trimmer that I just got.
Works fucking great. It's th 19 inch size.

Make a homemade bucking board.

No more hand trimming.
Take a 1x or 2x board and drill a 3/8, 1/2, and 5/8 size holes in it, one each. Do smaller and bigger depending on your plant.
Just pull the stem thru the hole, and poof, all the buds come off in 3 seconds.
The idea is like this.

Just took down one photoperiod.
It was one I started last winter in the tent, and I never thought it would make it.
It was the runt.

I cut all the limbs off and used my bucking board and new trimmer.
2 hours down trimmed and drying.

Wet weight is 20 ounces.
I see where people say there's an 80% drop in weight when it's dry.
3-4-5 ounces wouldn't be bad for a plant I thought was toast.

Overwhelming smell and sticky too.

Rain everyday thru Halloween.
Halloween night will be 28 degrees and the night after that 24 degrees.

So I went ahead and took the photoperiods last Sunday. Waiting wasn't an option.

1 plant was Green Crack, a seed I had from last year.
4 were from Twenty/20 seed co., MMXX

Dried and in the jars.
25 ounces.

I'll let it cure a while, then try it.
Hope it's half way decent because that's a shit ton of bad weed if it isn't

I don't know about the buckboard idea personally. Maybe for hemp, but not for delicate buds.

I guess if ya had a commercial crop er something?

I've heard that, and I think it's probably true.
But I had a few problems going on.
1. The weather changed abruptly and the 3 extra weeks I thought I had, I didn't. I had to get them cut down.
2. I had zero room in the garage to hang dry these plants.
3. The MMXX needed more time. It had a million small buds, and no big cola's, so hand trimming all of that..... I said fuck it.

I'll let you know.

The sticky shit doesn't want to come off.
I'm going to stick it in the dishwasher when my wife isn't home and see if it does better.

My wife would explode if I did that. I have to be sneaky with her food processor when I'm dusting my buds for cake, wait till she's out, then clean it with bleach.

Thought I'd gotten away with it once but had forgotten to wash the handle. It was sticky as hell. I had to fess up.

Rubbing alcohol or everclear will get the sticky off.

I know.

A dishwasher won't do it, and if it manages to remove something, it will probably just stick to the inside of the dishwasher.

I scrape my scissors before cleaning with anything as I love the sticky.

I take my rubber gloves and wash them in alcohol and let that evaporate for more good sticky.
