CLEAN UP ON AISLE CLUMSY!

Come on people, to very few here that are just being mean and ugly, spreading false accusations about who did what to whom, just griping in general about unrelated rubbish, I demand and insist that you take it elsewhere.

I started this thread with good intentions and I will see that it ends that way.

So yesterday I got off to a late start which began with a trip to my safe & happy place, AKA Home Depot for yet another material run... the good times just never end!

When I got back home I wired the island with four outlets. It was a one or maybe two hour job that took me over six hours to finish. Wiring is almost all a ton of hand and finger work and my clumsy hand slowed everything way down! But I don't let that stuff get ME down, as long as I can complete a task I don't care how long it takes.

When I'm building cabinets my power tools do all the heavy lifting and when I assemble them I have every and any clamp that I might need, I have a shit load of Clamps! And that makes for fairly fast results! But wiring, what a pain!

So visually not much has changed and today I will work on the mini fridge cabinet which is that empty looking space on the far left of the new kitchen. And after that I will work on installing the dishwasher.

And our countertops will be installed in less than a week! We are going top shelf friends, we're using quartz...

Anyway, I will post up a few pics of my work from yesterday in a few minutes.

Right, so let me try again.

I did not know it was you. I saw your name was used in both registration emails so assumed it was you but didnt bother to look at the IP. Quite frankly, if it's not JS or Harold (can spot em from a mile away), I assume it's harmless.

I can't merge accounts so I'm assuming you'd prefer to keep the original?

You don't remember saying that the new school was going to be named Kenmore? You kinda lost yer shit when I told you the new school wouldn't be named Kenmore. And getting expelled means that school isn't your alma mater.

If it makes any difference to you, Dole, those are all air rifles and some pretty damn nice ones too. I don't own any firearms.

And I have the perfect backyard for those pellet rifles. Beyond my property line is about 200 yards deep of a wooded area that is sloped up from my house making it a very safe place for plinking at targets. It's pretty fun and I'm eager to get some free time soon to enjoy my hobby.

And I work on those guns too, I take 'em all apart and tune 'em up real sweet, triggers too. I have just as much fun working on them as I do shooting them.

Good catch my friend!

There is an outlet on the wall beside the mini fridge but it is dead! There is another outlet further down the wall also dead. At first I was all worried that my baby pidgeadator don't work! But about the outlets, I know what happened. The electrician we hired is a little bit forgetful and he's coming back either Monday afternoon or Tuesday morning to take care of it and add lighting!

Never mind my cabinets or appliances, which BTW are beautiful, my new kitchen will be a smashing success because of the layout.

Taking up the entire back wall and with the island situated where it is, it will dominate the living room that it shares walls with.

There will be plenty of room for milling around the kitchen without being crowded and it will be perfect for the occasional party.

One small setback though. I ordered three BLACK appliances, fridge, dishwasher and range. Home Depot sent me the wrong color range and the one I wanted won't be available until August.

I charged the appliances, interest free if I get it paid in a year. Just south of 6 grand!

And now I'm strapped for cash again and we have 5 grand in countertops being installed on Wednesday...

We are gonna be just fine though, I'm a good saver!
 
So these are the last two cabinets that still need installed and it should happen tomorrow. I'm just finishing up getting the drawers painted for the tall narrow pantry cabinet. One more coat this evening and one super early coat in the morning, give it a few hours and then get the drawers fitted and then install on wall!

These were done last because they had no connection to the countertops. It was a priority to get the island ready for the countertop first and the island is ready. Countertops will be installed this Wednesday.

Anyway, these last two cabinets will be going in this corner with the fridge on the right side of the wall.
