But for Commotio Cordis to affect a grown muscular man on a hit like that is CRAZILY UNLIKELY. If it was that, it should indicate some kind of arterial problem/blockage.

From what I've read on the topic, a blow to the chest in the heart area at just the right time, can throw the heart into arrest. Apparantly it's milliseconds. At any other time it the hearts beat cycle, it wouldn't pose a problem. I'm no doctor, just repeating what I've heard from the medical community.

Nope, it can take a couple of missed beats for the brain to stop. The instances we are taught about for baseball kids are heartbreaking, kids taking a few steps to the dugout and dropping.

And they should be coming from family representatives, if at all, not the hospital. I’m a nobody but I wouldn’t want the hospital giving press conferences about my condition

That might be the nail Jerry needs to get Roger booted. The phone call wasn't the NFL saying they will cancel, it was the teams telling the NFL they weren't playing.
