Bama needed Michigan to lose to Ohio State. The CFP could have had excuses to put them in over Michigan because of Michigan's OOC schedule. With OSU and Bama out of their CCG's -- Bama isn't leap frogging them with 2 losses, IMO.
Will come down to the Utah/USC game -- if USC loses, OSU is in. If USC wins, OSU is out. I think UGA, Michigan and TCU will be no matter what they do in their CCG's.
If Michigan lost to Ohio State in a close game, they would have the best case to be the first ones in: close loss, on the road, to the #1 or #2 team in the country depending on how the rankings unfolded after.
Much better case than Ohio State's current situation: blowout loss at home. The only thing Ohio State has in its favor is that they only have the 1 loss to Bama's 2. But an argument could be made that Bama's 2 losses were both on the road in close games. Either way, they need one of the teams in front of them to lose or the point is moot.
