Bill Murray is not funny.
I'm talking about his career, but now that he's trying waaaaay too hard, it's tough to watch how dumb he really is.he was funny but in the present tense you may be right.
I'm mostly with you on this.I'm talking about his career, but now that he's trying waaaaay too hard, it's tough to watch how dumb he really is.
He's like Chevy Chase and Steve Martin. They could play a funny role when the writing was good, but on their own? Not funny at all.
People act like Bill Murray is funny. He's really not.
He doesn't have a single friend in Hollywood and wasn't there a famous quote about him being one of the worst comedians of all-time?Chevy Chase is a bumbling egomaniacal asshole in real life.
I've got Murray over Chase, but not by much. ...only because Murray has a little better range... ...Neither of them are funny without that 'bumbling asshole' character. He doesn't have a single friend in Hollywood and wasn't there a famous quote about him being one of the worst comedians of all-time?
Honestly, I'd put him ahead of Bill Murray.
Besides "Happy Gilmore", when did Sandler trigger you to 'laugh out loud'?Not only is Happy Gilmore the best golf movie of all time, it’s also the best hockey movie of all time.
Also, Adam Sandler is hilarious

Big Daddy and Billy Madison are funny!Besides "Happy Gilmore", when did Sandler trigger you to 'laugh out loud'?
Water Boy was his best IMO. Love me some Jerry ReedBig Daddy and Billy Madison are funny!
"The Waterboy" and "Bill Madison" both had amusing quotable Sandler moments, but none of them were laugh-out-loud hilarious. In both movies, it was other characters and movie situations I found most funny, not Sandler. Hell, in "The Waterboy", I thought Kathy Bates and Henry Winkler were just as funny as Sandler - if not more - and that's a pretty telling statement.Water Boy
Big Daddy
Little Nicky
Billy Madison
Mr Deeds
Anger Management
Longest Yard
Etc

I watched the rest of those movies you cited expecting to have my funnybone tickled and walked away disappointed.
That’s just snobbery I can’t abide by"The Waterboy" and "Bill Madison" both had amusing quotable Sandler moments, but none of them were laugh-out-loud hilarious. That's objective analysis, my friend. That’s just snobbery I can’t abide by
I would say I liked early Adam Sandler, but the shtick grew old. I’d argue:I like Billy Madison, but it was the situations that were funny, not Sandler.
Big Daddy was meh. I expected it to be funnier than it was. Maybe it was built up too much from his previous movies.![]()
