What would you do differently next time to make it awesome instead of pretty good?Smoked a brisket today. Put it on last night around midnight. Pulled it off at 5:00 (17 hour cook) and let it rest for two hours. Paired it with a homemade potato salad and Mac and cheese.
Turned out pretty good. Lots of leftovers as well.
I saw these two:
Traeger has definitely gone downhill with cheap parts after they became the brand name. That's what I have...a Pit Boss Navigator. Pit Boss and Louisiana Grills are run by the same family...And the guy who invented Traeger grills works for them.
So those are all about the same. Weber should stick with charcoal and gas grills....their pellet grills suck.

I have a unit that has 4 different probes but it's so old it doesn't appear to be made anymore....but they have some similar to it. I've been thinking of going wireless but never did yet because the old stuff still works as it always did and I am familiar with it.

So currently rural king has the 850 and it has blue tooth as well as wifi. $599. Sale $50 off.
They have the 820, which is what I belive is same machine but no blue tooth or wifi. 599, nothing off. But they have two displays built. Was gonna haggle with them and see what they will do.
Thoughts?
