Who will win Heisman

Arch Manning will win it if Sark has the balls to start him from here on out.. week after week of dubs and 500 plus total yards
Shit Caleb didn't even win it for the half a season he had we he brought OU back to beat you. Arch is 3rd team anyways. With Ewers having to come back next year now Arch will get his shot in 2 years. With whatever team that may be.

What mood? My team is 7-0 and already surpassed last year in every way. I'm in a great mood!

His QBR against Minnesota was 91.7 and his QBR against Rutgers was 97. He completed over 70% of his passes with 4 TD's and 0 INT's combined. That's pretty impressive.

And I'm not, and neither are oddsmakers. There is a reason he wasn't included in the discussion early on, because of that awful game. At the end of September he wasn't even in the top 10 in terms of odds.
Kyle McCord had a QBR of 91.1 against a vastly superior ND defense and a 97 QBR against a WKU defense that is not far behind Rutgers. He also leads the B1G in passing. Neither of them should be at the top of the Heisman standings.

Starting to think Daniels has a chance

If JJ beats Penn State and Ohio State with limited mistakes, you have to think he's the favorite at this point. But one bad game can kill anyone's chances when it's this close.

His game at Bama will decide everything IMO. He needs a real Heisman moment, and I'm not sure beating Missouri is going to be good enough.

michigan could very well beat Penn State and Ohio State, but if JJ isn't the driving force, I can't imagine he's going to be taken seriously. The problem is michigan would likely still be right where they are right now if Tuttle was starting.

That's the big reason with JJ's potential chances. They are boat racing everyone, so he hasn't even had to really do anything in any 4th quarter. He hasn't played in 7 of the 8 4th quarters this season, and even a little of the 3rd quarters. He doesn't have the wow numbers so you have to look at his efficiency. Which has been absurd. He's having an elite season. There have been only 4 instances where a QB has finished with a QBR above 93 in the last decade. Kyler and Tua in 2018 and Tua and Burrow in 2019. Right now he's got a QBR of 93.7. He's also on pace to shatter the completion percentage record this year.

He isn't going to be the driving force because of the nature of their offense. If you haven't been impressed with him so far this season going 17-22, with 225 yards passing and a couple of TD's against PSU and OSU isn't going to impress you either, I'd guess. I would imagine he'd play in the 4th quarter of these games, but I'm not so sure about that. I think they'll beat down PSU. And probably beat OSU by 10 or so.

His completion percentage right now (if the season ended) would be an NCAA record. (EDIT and I see now that you finished with that lol).

That's really where his chances are. If that maintains itself, and he beats PSU/OSU, he's got a really good shot.

Yeah, he's having an absurd season. If he does what he's done against PSU/OSU I think he'll win it. But even then, given the offense, I doubt he will put up insane stats. Honestly, watching PSU/OSU play I think Michigan beats both rather comfortably. PSU won't be able to move the ball, and if OSU had Stroud for that game they would have blown PSU out. McCord missed a lot of throws. JJ will hit those he missed and it could get ugly.

what's funny is teams are so concerned about stopping Michigan's run game (which hasn't been that explosive this year) and are getting shredded by McCarthy instead. Not often you see a Harbaugh team with more pass attempts than rush attempts, especially in a blowout win.

Well, right. He hasn't played in a single 4th quarter yet. Having not played in 1/4 of the season will dampen your stats quite a bit lol.

Quite the contrary. OSU and PSU are 2nd and 3rd in the nation in completion percentage allowed, both around 51%. OSU also leads the nation with 4.9 YPA allowed while PSU is 5th at 5.2 YPA. If he goes into those games and puts up those numbers and beats both teams, he's the Heisman frontrunner. What he's done so far right now is impressive, but to say he's the best player in CFB is ridiculous. I'd say Marvin Harrison belongs well ahead of him at this point, among others.

He's also second in QB rating (behind Jayden Daniels) and also second in completion percentage (Bo Nix) and those other two QBs have faced actual talented competition up to this point. He's having a great year, no doubt, but he doesn't belong near the top of the Heisman standings. Again, I wonder what Jack Tuttle's numbers would look like in that offense facing the teams they've faced.

I mean in both those games. He's not going to throw for like 400+ yards or anything.

It's highly unlikely he isn't playing in the 4th against OSU and PSU.

Come on, Jack Tuttle is a 24 year old who couldn't cut it at IU. JJ was an elite HS prospect and a projected top 15 pick. They would obviously look much worse with him at QB.
