I was worried about that.

The way Germany is playing I doubt a big number is a possibility!

Imagine the fallout if Spain was really considering this, went through with it and it backfired. I mean the rumors out there already...

The biggest disappointment of this tournament. On the opposite end of the group, Morocco the biggest surprise with their performances.
 
Eden Hazard lol. Dropped today from lineup. Cracking on Germany after Game 1. Germany may still fail today, but you shouldn't be bitching about other teams when you really shit the bed.
 
Read up more this morning on the US-Netherlands match up.

The mid field possession battle should be amazing. We know our mid field has been a strength. The Dutch aren’t as strong as they usually are, but they have been one of the best at gaining possession this tournament and gain an insane amount of possession in the attacking half.

We can probably hold that threat down by pressuring like we have been doing, but the exhaustion from playing that way shows by the 70th minute.

I’m still convinced we advanced less because of a Herculean effort and more because Iran couldn’t find someone that could make a finishing touch.

True, but a lot who don't follow them closely would probably say Germany. Those that do follow them knew they were lacking.
We'll see how they do today, but this isn't the usual "death, taxes, and Germany in the Semis" team.

That said, Belgium is a huge disappointment, old or not they still should've got into the knockouts.

Agree but Germany is ranked 13th or something and Belgium #2. I am only going on FIFA rankings. Germany has shit the bed since just before 2018 World Cup when they were losing the likes of Saudi Arabia in last friendly before 2018 Cup and after had the 6-0 drubbing by Spain. 2017 Confederations Cup was their last hurrah. 5 years ago.

Yup. Their back line of Vertonghen and Alderweireld were Tottenham greats about 5 years ago (and even then they were reaching the end of their viability for Premier League standards). That team's age was evident early in game 1 when Canada was running them ragged.
 
Hansi Flick needs to get his starting lineup right today. Not been right in first two games.

Cody Gapko is going to be a handful for the USA defenders. In extremely great form at PSV. De Ligt at Bayern in great form also on defense. He was out of shape at Juventus but at Bayern training alot more vigorous. Ake at Man City has been good and dangerous on set pieces. De Jong not lived up to hype and Van Dyke not the same since his injury. So we'll see.
 
Germany starting lineup. Going with a back 3 or is Kimmich at right back? No Fullkrug so no real #9. Would prefer Fullkrug over Gundogan. Looks pretty attack heavy with Sane in too.

Typical Germany. Can't make the final shot or pass and almost a huge defensive gaff. Knew I didn't like the lineup.
 
I walked away from the TV for like 10 mins and Spain is losing
