First round Completed on Tuesday. Only 1 team has clinched to the next round(St Kitts and Nevis). Only 1 winner per group advances to round 2.

Every other group has 1 vs 2 Left and it’s winner take all.

El Salvador v Antigua

Canada v Suriname

Curaçao v Guatemala

Panama v Dominican

Haiti v Nicaragua

My mistake guys, in Group A (El Salvador v Antigua) the 3rd place team Montserrat is still in it. They need a tie in the El Salvador game and to win by 6+ (lol) in their game and they are through.

Winners advance to the third round joining the 5 top rated in North America and Central Americ to make it to Qatar.

Again, we have absolutely no reason not to make Qatar. (Top 3)

There is zero reason this team should lose any before the first game vs Mexico. I’m not saying there won’t be a draw in there before this (Canada/Costa Rica). But come on, this seems like a pretty weak field. Finishing second should be the basement for this squad in this.

At least one of those trips to Central America always trips them up. At least one. Hopefully it’s only one and they get it over with early. That should still be no reason they don’t finish second at worse.

I get what you mean and the hype is at a huge level for us Right now. But there is zero reason we should have a loss coming into the Mexico game. This region is not strong in my opinion at all besides us and Mexico. (And I’m stretching the word strong when I describe us)

I might try to go to a game too if they play at Levi Stadium or Earthquakes stadium. Earthquakes has a big beer hall there I heard. Was going to see USA woman last year before COVID whacked that game. 9/2 is my bday and taking day off. Germany also has WC qualifing that day also with Flick first game.

I just don't trust this team after the epic failure that the 2018 WC qualifying was. They're going to drop points and possibly lose vs Panama or Honduras IMO

Im still holding out hope, mainly because this is an entirely different US team but also this Concacaf group really isn’t strong at all. We only need to be in the top 3 and #4 is a play in for the WC.

Next Thursday my 60th birthday and I get USA, Mexico, Germany, Spain, Poland, Sweden, England, Italy, Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay to potentially watch that day if televised. Already took the day off of work...took following day off too to deal with hangover.

Yes he is back. Tim Weah out though for all 3 games. Burkhalter not replacing him.
 
Ugly Germany in the first half. Looks the same as when Low coached. Can't do anything in the middle. Only Musiala, Goosens, and Werner active. Baku terrible, Sane not great. Gundogan launching wild shots. Havertz and Kimmich invisible. Musiala probably the best player out there.
