I hated Tressel more than any other ohio state coach (even Woody Hayes). Tressel is a pompous asshole … it would have been fun to beat him (if we ever did). I can’t tell you what happened that caused Tressel to leave, all I know is that the NCAA sucks.
I get the sense that the NCAA is insisting he lied to them without any evidence that he did.

Tressel lied. Im not sure if the punishment was too harsh or not but I believe he did lie. The NCAA sucks and Tressel brought it upon himself.
That's what the suspension is for. He wouldn't cooperate with the NCAA investigation. He kept insisting he did nothing wrong.
Tressel got in trouble for systemic lying about level 1 violations involving multiple players; then getting caught (with proof) in emails that he knew and failed to report it to anyone, and hatched a scheme to cover it up.
Of course. Because we're talking about minor violations. Secondary violations almost always go self-reported and unpunished.
I can absolutely see Harbaugh taking a moral stand that in the era of NIL where kids are getting bags of money under the table and otherwise, there's nothing wrong with buying a kid a burger on a (legal) unofficial visit.
What did Tressel in was that he signed off on the NCAA documents stating he knew of no NCAA infractions involving players on his team, but afterward admitted to knowing about the infractions a long time ago and didn't let the university, nor the NCAA know about it.
Harbaugh brought all of this on himself. He is his own worst enemy sometimes. The guy is a heck of a football coach, but he is eclectic and a very difficult human being.

Everyone hates Warde. So if Warde takes that stand, he'll be gone well before Harbaugh. He's mismanaged pretty much everything he's been in charge of since taking over.
Warde barely has a job as it is. So I don't think he can get away with crossing the coach who just won the B10 twice.
That isn't happening. He isn't going anywhere unless he wants to leave. They'd get rid of the entire athletic department before they got rid of Harbaugh right now.
He lied that he was never notified about any possible violations. The email TOSU found proved he was notified. Where is the proof for the rest of your statement?
