tOfficial B1G Thread

And so it begins

Misses Michigan game. Which was going to be a huge swing game as was. Michigan will probably be a 7-10 point favorite in that one now.

Have Michigan State fans blamed no spring ball and/or COVID yet?
Shit i forgot that is an option for this 2020* year

Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

I still can't believe PSU lost their opener. It doesn't look good for the B1G. That being said, the Bucks did move up to 3. Gotta win big in Happy Valley next Saturday.

Are they going to paint the bleachers white without fans? Home and away means little this year when you don't have fans in the stands to effect the game.

Welcome to the 2020 Covid 19. Another top 10 team lost their season opener, Rutgers beats Mich. St. and Northwestern beats a team by 40 points. Wait, it's going to get weirder as the season wears on.
The Pac 12 should be a hoot!

I dont think Rutgers beating Michigan State was really that shocking. MSU might be the worst team in the B1G this year.

with Maryland being a close second.......NW winning by that much was shocking though

We knew that mSU was going to be bad, but I don't think anyone thought they were lose to Rutgers bad

I was thinking the opposite after opening week. I figure "overreaction" to many of the games. i.e. Wisconsin is great because they pounded the mighty Illini. Michigan has to be better than we thought because they won the jug. Rutgers is back. Purdue is real good because....you know, Iowa. Indiana is a power to be reckoned with because..........

It'll happen when the PAC 12 cranks up too. One way or the other there will be overreaction. They are great, blah, blah, blah. They are awful, blah, blah, blah.

Truth is we may not know a damn bit more about how good/bad teams are at the end of the season than we do right now. Just a wacky year.

Plus, Michigan St had 7 TO's. Not sure any team can win giving up the ball that many times.

Hoping it was a false positive test. I think I heard that if he's out, Wisconsin will be forced to use their 3rd string QB (Not sure what happened to their 2nd string).

Whatever gives us the one in a million chance we need to beat OSU, I'm here for it.

Anyone shocked by rutgers over msu wasn't paying attention last year....

Indiana has almost done that to a ranked team like 5 times. They had this coming. I hate playing Indiana because of it.

I wasn't shocked at all. MSU was terrible last year, lost most of their talent, had one of the worst recruiting classes in the B10 and hired some of the most lack-luster coaches of any P5 staff in the country. Bad coaching + bad players = bad team. Rutgers hired a better coach and it showed instantly in that game.

Mertz is 2nd string. Coan, the original 1st stringer, had foot surgery and is out indefinitely.

So this is extra bad for Wisconsin then if true. They could easily lose multiple games if he's out given he'd miss Nebraska, Purdue and Michigan.

Wisconsin just goes back to game manager QB mode. I think they can still handle Nebraska and Purdue with relative ease. Michigan is a different story.
