tOfficial B1G Thread

Guess we really have a NIL machine working now, glad It only took 3 straight losses to Michigan, missing the playoff 2 of the last 3 years and a embarrassing bowl loss to Missouri to get with the program.

JT coming back as well. This is crazy. Hopefully we can get Penn State JT all season

Is there buyers remorse for the B1G now? I mean you got Oregon who looks like they are going to hold steady. but after that
USC name brand doing nothing
Washington just played in the NC game and they looks like they are going to fall apart.
UCLA was never about football but rather the basketball brand that is currently tied for last in a rather bad Pac 12and lost 90-44 to Utah.

No, because it has nothing to do with competition.

It is all about increasing rights fees for the Big 10 Network on the west coast. Before adding Rutgers and Maryland, the B1G was getting $0.10 per household from the cable companies and streaming services in the NY/DC markets. Once they were added, that jumped to $1.50 per.

Not sure exactly what they get on the west coast now, but next year it's going to explode because those are some huge markets with lots of households. It's a cash bonanza.

Thanks.

No, they got the most lucrative media contract in college sports. The Big Ten is in the midst of creating a national conference. They aren't worried about any year to year ups and downs.

Some real smoke that Ohio State will be hiring Toledo HC Jason Candle to come be the offensive coordinator. This would be a home run hire. As long as Day actually backs off and let’s him do his thing

He's a very good coach. I'm surprised nobody has given him an opportunity yet at the P5 level.
