Washington played a rapist

It's cute that you had to stock up on so many hats to remember your ill-gotten "title". Even you're not stupid enough to think you'll be getting another one any time soon, so, way to be prepared.
Pretty ironic coming from a fanbase that also only has 2 national titles in the last 50 years....

No, it's not. I'm saying, I love this for you. We, the michigan fanbase, love the situation you find yourself in. We love this, for you. It has nothing to do with the entirely different meaning, "we love you for this", phrase.

What a completely useless point. Of course you love the situation Ohio State fans are in. What's the point of even saying that?

We love this for you. You probably stomped your feet while typing this.

If you are saying things like this...

You all now cry in every thread irrelevant of the topic.
And this, then the thought you are trying to convey is we love you for this. "It doesn't bother you, you are laughing and you love him for that."

We love this for you is much like I could care less. So many people use it but it's wrong for the thought they are trying to convey

You still don't seem to understand. And that's OK.

I'm saying we love, in fact we're relishing in, the feelings and positions Ohio State fans are forced into taking to try and cope with Michigan being on top. When an Ohio State fan takes a ridiculous position to try and cope with crushing defeat, we do, in fact, love this for them. It brings me great joy. It's the ultimate form of schadenfreude.

So when a Washington thread turns into an Ohio State fan tantruming with:
Dude, nobody wants to root for a team that cheats uncontrollably, employs pedos, and makes sexual predators team captains. Just a disgusting, embarrassing program overall. I look forward to the inevitable ass-beating you get from us and several others this season.
We love this for him. Because you know what it means? It means that this form of outburst is all your broken fanbase has left, and we love that for you.

I understand what the phrase means but you don't understand that you are using incorrectly.

Last example to try to get it through your head.

Harbaugh started 0-5 against Ohio State.
Michigan had an almost decade long losing streak to Ohio State = We love that for them

Harbaugh goes into a press conference and says "Ohio State is ok only winning bc they cheat"

"Michigan fans claim they only lose bc their academic standards are so high" = We love you for this.

Which one is happening in this thread between you and ATF?

I addressed it very clearly above. I'm using it in a far more broader sense.

In "we love this for them"

The "them" is Ohio State fans - "you" if it's specific to a specific one.
The "this" is referencing the overall situation they find themselves in and not necessarily the specific comment.

2 in the last 22 years actually. I'm in my 30s and was in my adult life for both. We also didn't have to cheat for them like michigan did.

No. That we’ve broken the Ohio state fan base. You all now cry in every thread irrelevant of the topic. The rolls have reversed. You’ve convinced yourself that Michigan has cheated and that’s the reason you’ve lost. And we love this for you. I, on the other hand, struggled to choose which 2023 national champion hat to wear today.
Poor desperate MI things 3 years of cheating breaks something. It was the decade of losing that let the team and fans drop so low to try and justify lying and cheating. Then they had to buy the team last year as the player admitted.

Cheats uncontrollably -- Check for OAM.

Maurice Clarett: I got paid more at Ohio State than I do in the UFL

Hire Pedos -- Check for OAM

Inevitable assbeatings -- Check for OAM

Remember, your boy Harbaugh had the worst starting record ever in the rivalry before Ohio State switched coaches and Michigan did a big time overhaul.

The situations this previous offseason look familiar
Ryan Day is the problem at OAM. The team takes on his persona. With Urban Meyer -- OAM teams had an aura of invincibility about them. Ryan Day's teams look nothing like that. With Meyer -- if you punched OAM in the mouth -- they'd punch you back 3 times and then kick you while you were down. With Day -- if you punch OAM in the mouth -- the team doesn't handle it well. You can see it on the sideline and the field.

It happens only once or twice a year, because OAM is VASTLY more talented than every team they play. Michigan will never be more talented than OAM. We cannot recruit like OAM. We cannot buy players like OAM is allowed to (We can, but our admins are stuck in the stone age -- I pray that changes ) . Michigan has simply been the better coached team with better coordinators the last few years. With Urban Meyer -- that was never the case, which is why UM fans love Ryan Day.

There are the homer glasses coming on. Reality is -- you haven't won a title in a decade. You haven't beaten your Rival since 2019. You've only won 2 titles in 50+ years. You have went full Texas A&M this offseason (Which I have to say I'm jealous, because I wish UM would do the same), for the sole reason, you are no longer the top program in the B1G and UM is.

The issue is -- your head coach is still the same, so your team will continue to take on his persona. If you aren't sure what persona that is -- it is being soft.

You could put a card board cut out at HC of OAM and they'd still dominate 95% of the teams in CFB because they are so much more talented than every other program. An elite HC will push you to dominate the 5% who have talent to play against you. Ryan Day is NOT that guy.

LOL you cheated to get to where you are, and your new coach is the softest human being alive. OSU is still the flagship program in the B1G and everyone knows it but you. Your A&M schtick is pathetic, uninformed, and obviously hypocritical but I know you're very proud of it so carry on, little brother.
