tOfficial “Weed Growers” Thread

The auto flowers get to the end so much faster. I can see why people migrate to them.

My plan for next year is to go 100% Autoflowers, and stop the Photoperiods altogether.
The Photo's just get to big and tall, limbs break, etc.

I suspect I can get about 15-18 autoflowers pumped out next Summer, and they will all be in the ground.

2nd thing I'm doing is discontinuing the fabric grow bags, even though I have a shit ton of them.
I have found out that when they say 'size matters' they mean it with the grow bags.

They are smaller plants than what I put in the ground.
They say to just use bigger grow bags, and thats all fine and good, but the cost of the soil and fertilizer to fill that big grow bag is almost cost prohibative. And anyway, I have been adding lost of organic fertilizers to my flower beds for years, and they are loaded up, so why not use what I have.

Oh, and the grow bags dry out way too fast.
At a 100 degrees, I'm watering them 2-3 times a day.

I can see the attraction to auto's. I've been doing my thing for so long now that even though I have given other ways a try the last few years, I keep going back to growing outdoors and skipping the other methods...but I like regular photoperiod plants. It's what I know best.

I've never been a fan of grow bags. I like growing outdoors. Nobody can grow as healthy of a plant with soil in a bag or bucket as I can outdoors.

I would like to meet this man if there is such a person.

I'd love to have a place to grow photoperiods, because, so far, I have better smoke from them.
However,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

I live on a corner lot and the law says my plants can't be seen from the street, plus, I don't want my neighbors to know about it anyway.

My photoperiods last year, got 8 feet tall. I had to pull them over, and train them with bungee cords and shit, just so they couldn't be seen. The volunteer photoperiod I have has a stalk 4'' in diameter, so without training, it probably gets really tall.

Storm damage has taken out about 1/3rd of my volunteer this year.

Until I can plant a photoperiod and not worry about it's height, I think I'm staying away from them.
Plus, the photoperiods I have in grow bags this year, are really unimpressive; I did it as an experiment really.

Wth a corner lot, I would probably be doing the same as you. What's great is we have these options now. I hadn't heard of auto flowers until about 4 years ago.

I found this guy and I like his video's.
In this one, he did everything you aren't suppose to do to an autoflower, as an experiment, and it turned out great.

He lives in Canada I think

I took down my second plant today. I’m likely going to end up with around 6 ounces total from the two plants. Not bad, considering they never got more than 3 feet high.
Everything I grow is in a pot. My tomatoes, my cucumbers and my herb.
I’ve already harvested eight cucumbers this year. And I’ve got 10 hanging on the vine. I should easily surpass 30 from the one Plant.

Yesterday my Photoperiods flowered, and are stacking buds nicely.
They all did it within a day of each other.

6 weeks after the Summer solstice, so don't know if that's normal or late.

Just have one auto this year. Didn't germinate until Memorial Day. Just started flowering last week. Football is going to be Mello this year.

The three I put in dirt sprouted July 3.

They are currently 2.5' tall and flowering on multiple points.

We had one day not sunny in the last 30. Nothing but sun in the forecast.

I love these autoflowers.

I went to the store to buy some of my Reign Drops and I noticed a display for Lebanese hash. So I picked up 2 g. It’s so sticky that it sticks to the container it’s in. Hard to get off your finger. But damn is it fine.

Methinks I am going to try to make a batch of infused butter(10g decarbonized 23% THC bud per pound of butter) and make some chocolate bars from it. Any suggestions and/or advice?

I never make butter. I always feel like I’m not quite getting everything. I just grind my buds up. Use it like flour in my carrot cake. A bit of fibre never hurt anybody.

I usually put 2.5 to 3 ounces of this “dust” in one batch of carrot cake. Most excellent.

Not a clue, but I will be interested in finding out how you did.
I have all of the ingredients but forgot to get a decent oven thermometer. I will probably wait until Monday when the neighborhood kids are in school to make it. I am worried everyone on the block will be able to smell the decarboxylation. I will let you know the recipe and results.

I love it when the kitchen exhaust fan spews the wonderful smell of my carrot cake through the backyard and neighborhood. Fuck them if they don’t like it.

I am putting off the run of butter until Friday or Saturday. It's supposed to be raining so nobody will be walking by or driving near with their windows down.
