Best and worst concerts you've attended

Saw Tull sometime in the 90's. He was excellent, but it was in a big stadium, which just sucks. Living legends like that, are the ONLY you'll get me in a sports stadium to see a concert.
 
Just found a bunch of old tickets stubs, just the other day...Tull was in '97. Looking at the ticket now. LOL

Yeah I went to see Eric Church and some dude that everyone says I look like at the new Falcons stadium last year. Not really my scene to begin with(some of my friends were going and my GF really wanted to go, so I went). Sound was good where we were, and I’ll admit Eric Church put on a good show, but my boss was a few sections over and said the sound was God awful where he was at.

I wish I had kept my stubs. Only memorabilia like that I have is from the 40th(?) Super Bowl in Detroit. Won a pair of tickets and a 4 day hotel stay with tickets to the Experience and 2 parties.

Man, that would be an experience.

I would have loved to see more of the British hard rock groups back in the heydey.

I saw Dio at the Municipal Auditorium in Nashville in the mid-1990s. Would absolutely kill to see Iron Maiden. One of my favorite recorded live shows is Iron Maiden at Long Beach Arena in about '93.

Haven't really been to a big show in years. Never saw Phil Collins solo. Last show I was at was a private invite to a local radio station 2 years ago. They have a special venue in the basement which holds about 200 people. It's where they showcase newer bands. The band was Half Moon Run. They played for a little over an hour and we even got free beer. What a great way to see live music.

I went because my friends wanted to take in a show at Red Rocks before we left tech school in Denver. Great venue to see a concert, but the Dead are boring as fuck. Zzzzzzzzzz

ol' phil has had some very major health issues over the last couple of years, it's sad.
 
I had plans to go see John Prine in May for the first time, but Covid happened, and he died. I’m still not over that. One that’ll never be crossed off the bucket list that I had real plans to see soon

Up to actually going, I had always thought "Deadheads" must be about the coolest people ever.

They were trash. Filthy, stinking doped-up trailer trash, which is why so many municipalities were none too pleased when The Dead came to town. They leave a garbage dump behind.

best show i ever saw = metallica on the sanitarium tour in 2000 at kentucky motor speedway. i sat through a bunch of garbage all day (korn, kid rock, system of a down) to see them and they didn't disappoint

worst = when i was stationed at ft bragg, a friend of mine talked me into joining him on driving up to see sevendust at some shitty club/bar in raleigh one random night back in spring '06, probably had a few hundred folks in there. the sound was absolutely awful, it was like they were geared up for a big stadium, but they're playing in a small, enclosed space. worst part was that it was a random weeknight, and i was leading PT the next morning. I think i got 2, maybe 2 1/2 hours of sleep that night.

Kenny Loggins put on a fantastic show in a park right here in downtown Manchester. Saw Hall & Oates in a different park down on the river with my pregnant girlfriend. We heard Sara Smile and decided if we had a girl we'd name her Sara. It was a boy, but on our 3rd try we got our little Sara.

He's a lot like Bob Dylan to me. I just need music to sound good and their's doesn't. It's an acquired taste and you have to appreciate what they do, which takes a little bit of effort. I'm sure if I tried I could "get it" but I just don't have much motivation.

Finally got to see em in 2017. Something always seemed to come up, when there were chances to see them in my past. They were awesome. Bruce is a machine. 105 degrees outside, and he's wearing tactical pants and a fucking hoodie, running around like a maniac. Had pit passes...they were so fucking LOUD. Just kicking you in the head with sound. Blew us back to the grass.

Ghost opened for em' and they were actually pretty great live. Tho watching them play in their ghoul outfits in that goddamned heat, was dumbfounding.
