Colorado and Arizona feel like the deadest of the dead, but those don't count if we're talking natties.

Of those eligible, would probably say Georgia Tech. But they're in a prime location in a much more open conference it's not hard to see them getting back to relevancy if they find the right coach.

I'd normally say Tennessee, but they actually showed some signs of life and the right trajectory last year. Just not sold yet on the human chode at head coach.

You're missing the point, I never said recruiting doesn't make it easier but it isn't the end all be all you and some other mouth breathers claim it to be. Go back and look at Clemson's natty winning class rankings then get back to me

Starting in 2013 these were Clemson's classes:

2013 - #15
2014 - #16
2015 - #9
2016 - #11 avg recruit rank #8
2017 - #16 avg recruit rank #5
2018 - #7

Also, the average sizes of those classes avg out to just over 20, so they aren't going to finish as highly based on numbers alone. Clemson isn't winning those titles if those classes are all outside the top 15.

thats because you dont know about nebraska, you dont need top 10 classes to become relevant you need coaches that can develop always has been the case
its not the same as it was when everyone traveled by train

2000 Oklahoma seems to have come out of nowhere
That's probably the closest thing and it's outside of the recruiting era. So it's really hard to evaluate what those previous classes look like. Certainly in terms of that season, no one expected it.

Yeah, they averaged about 16th in Dabo's early years. They started getting Top 10 classes after they became successful.
2016 was Clemson's first national title. The 4 classes prior were:

2013 - 15th
2014 - 16th
2015 - 9th
2016 - 11th

Their worst class in that 4 year cycle was higher than Nebraska's best recruiting rank in the last 10 years.

I think they will go through with the pod system.. and we play annually no matter what. I think the one I saw had y'all with LSU, Ole Miss and MS. UT was with Mizzu, Ark and ou.

I just wonder if they make the 4 pods, and place two of them as the East and two as the West. Top schools from each side regardless of record/ranking play in the CCG.

West
Pod1: UT, ou, ark, mizzu
Pod2: lsu, aggy, ole, msu

East
Pod1: Bama, tn, au, Vandy
Pod 2: uga, uf, sce, ky

U have to keep the pods so there's better mixture with quicker showdowns than what's happening now with 14 schools.
Bama ducking us sounds about right :pop2:

Pitt's time as a national power is long over, but they're typically good for 7-9ish wins a year and being a top-of-conference contender when the stars align (right roster/ACC environment). Narduzzi's done a good job of at least keeping them competitive in their non-best years, but this year's going to be interesting to see if he can max out when the window is open and expectations are high (they were that close last year to be at least in the playoff discussion.....fucking fighting @broncosmitty's)

Don't worry 0reg0n still hasn't been relevant ever regardless of mode of transportation

Really thought at the time the season could be special season for my boys from Kalamazoo.

And it kinda was, winning a bowl game for the second time made it a success. But that road win against your Panthers is up there in program history.

Probably Miami (FL). Not sure if it’s the culture or what, but I just don’t see it.

I’m pretty sure Nebraska is the only one of the bunch giving away home game tickets to orphans and homeless people just so they can say they sold the game out.
