What are you reading?

Troubled Blood by JK Rowling

A Private Cathedral by James Lee Burke

Love me some Dave Robicheaux

i’ve read and love them all. They were always a bit more entertaining when Dave was drunk and on a bender. And I can’t get enough of Clete Purcell. He is a great character. Loved it when he put sand or cement or whatever it was in Didi Gee’s jet fuel.

Son of a bitch if the libray didn't have #2 (Before They Are Hanged) on Friday.

I'm about 300 pages in having spent my morning reading.

More action than the first one so far.
Glad you are enjoying them. I am slowly getting through the World of the First Law one offs and will eventually get into the second trilogy...but slowly.

Started Brandon Sanderson's Mistborn trilogy last night

Been reading a lot.

The latest Tim Dorsey, two big fat Joona Linna efforts from Lars Keppler, Shutter Island, 2 of the indigenous series from the O'Neals.

Also 3 Reginald Hill - Pascoe and Dalziel efforts which are extremely solid and entertaining. Great characters, very good on PBS Masterpiece Theatre.

Had just starter a 3rd indigenous book I own when i got notified by the library today that the 3rd Lars Keppler was in. So I'll read that.

read this in no time while I was on vacation and loved it. I recommend it. Kind of like the tv show Killing Eve, but with time travel.

currently reading A Man With One of Those Faces by Caimh McDonnell...not a bad book, but nothing exciting.

Listening to the second Tim Dorsey Surge Storms book on audio...it's alright...I don't know if I really like the Surge books though...

I like whacky.
I do too...but just not sure I am digging it. It's not a bad listen while I walk...but I think I prefer Carl Hiaassen or Christopher Moore to Dorsey...

I like them more as well, but Hiaasen has slowed down his production. Just requested Squeeze Me.

James W Hall is another decent Florida writer. Thorn is his good guy.

Just finished Squeeze Me.

Love the way he handled the president and the first lady.

started the last book of The Poppy War trilogy by RF Kuang

Similar to the Joe Abercrombie style of fantasy, just brutal violence and a dark world.

very good too

Reading The Colour of Magic by Terry Pratchett.

been wanting to start the Discworld series for a while and it isn't a hard read at all. Somewhat silly but pretty good. It takes a small adjustment to grasp what is actually going on though. It's a weird world...but I like it.
